One thing we love most about is seeing our projects come to life! We enjoyed with Cindy and made our very own entryway decor!

✅️To begin the project we cut out an opening at the top of our pumpkin. Next, we removed all of the seeds. Then, we made a hole at the bottom of the pumpkin to allow a drainage option. We then carefully placed the mum inside of the pumpkin and finally, watered it!🎃

All while having fun with this project, members were working to maintain their . Activities like handling seeds, potting plants, and pruning require the use of both fine and gross motor skills. Studies have shown that seniors who garden regularly have better hand strength and dexterity.🖐🫴👍

Meet, Nolan! Nolan is one of our transportation drivers and has been with Active Day for almost THREE years! Nolan is responsible for providing your loved with safe transportation to and from the Center.

Fun facts about Nolan:

🏕 Nolan has a pet sugar glider.
🏕 Nolan has a rock collection that he knows each and every name of the rock.

We had a delicious Culver's carry-in that included butter burgers, chicken tenders and delicious, crispy french fries!🍟🍔🥤

Our monthly carry-ins are a great way to offer our members socialization. Socialization isn't just good for the brain—it's lots of fun, too! At our adult day center, we know that building friendships and staying connected is key to a happy and healthy life.☀️

"Good grief!" It's time for our Friendsgiving, and this year, we're taking a page from Snoopy's book and celebrating what we're all truly thankful for: great friends!

Forget the traditional turkey—we'll be serving up toast, popcorn, pretzel sticks, and jelly beans, with some "proper" dinner options mixed in (so Peppermint Patty doesn't complain).

Meet, Mary! Mary is our Activity Coordinator and has been with Active Day for a little over TWO years! Mary oversees our activity department and is responsible for bringing the 🎉fun🎉!

💎She loves to workout, especially running.
💎She must have her morning coffee to start her day.
💎She knows the zoo keepers names at the Fort Wayne Children's zoo because she is a frequent visitor to the zoo with her two kids.
