This is why the give-back matters. Our partners at Hearing The Call shared Elena's story and it's the kind of story that reminds us what this work is actually for.
At Entheos, humanitarian care isn't a line on our website, it's part of what it means to belong to this cooperative. Stories like Elena's happen because audiologists choose to stay independent, and choose to do this work together.
Thank you to Hearing The Call and the team at Integra Clinic for letting us be part of it. đź’™
This is Elena, and she was one of the first ever patients to receive hearing aids at Hearing The Call Mexico at the Integra clinic.
When she was just 10 years old, growing up in the countryside of Mexico, she lived in a world that was often quiet—not by choice, but because the care she needed simply wasn’t within reach. Her parents did everything they could, but there were no resources to treat her hearing loss.
Years passed like this—until 2022, when everything changed.
Her family learned about an opportunity through Hearing The Call and were told to bring her to the Integra Clinic in Coatzacoalcos. They made the journey, holding onto hope. There, Elena received hearing aids for the very first time.
And with that moment, her world opened.
Sounds she had never fully experienced before began to fill her days—voices, laughter, connection. She could finally be part of conversations, build friendships, and step into a classroom with confidence.
Today, Elena is in seventh grade. She hears her teachers, her friends, and her family. She’s no longer on the outside looking in—she’s fully present, fully engaged, and fully heard.
Through the work of Hearing The Call, a simple intervention didn’t just give Elena hearing.
It gave her a future.
