Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

What does Occupational Therapy look like❓

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

During Occupational Therapy Month, we’re celebrating the amazing therapists who help our rehab patients rebuild confidence, independence, and the skills that make daily life meaningful. 🫶

Thank you to our incredible OTs for the difference you make every day. 💙

Spring is in the air, and our residents are soaking up every moment of it! 🌸🌼

This past week, our patients enjoyed a wonderful day outdoors planting beautiful flowers to welcome the new season. From picking out their favorite blooms to getting their hands in the soil, there were smiles all around! 🌷 Activities like these aren’t just fun — they help promote relaxation, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment. Most importantly, they bring us together and create lasting memories. 💚 We’re so proud of our residents and the joy they bring to our community every day.

👨‍💼👩‍💼 Leadership in long‑term care isn’t just about managing a building or overseeing a team. It’s about guiding a community that depends on steady hands and consistent, compassionate decision‑making.

✨ During Long‑Term Care Administrators Week, we are especially grateful for Life Care's Executive Directors who carry that responsibility with such excellence. Their choices shape the quality of life for residents who are often at their most vulnerable, and their leadership sets the tone for every caregiver who walks through the door.

It’s not glamorous work, and it rarely gets the spotlight it deserves, but its impact is enormous. 💗 Here’s to the administrators who show up with clarity, resilience, and heart — your leadership truly matters.

🌟 Employee Appreciation Day 🌟

Today isn’t about routine thank‑yous. It’s about recognizing the special people who choose work that can’t be rushed, automated, or faked. In senior care, impact shows up in even small areas:
• A smile coaxed out before breakfast
• A quiet change noticed before anyone else
• A story treated like a privilege, not a task

💗 Acts of humanity like these aren’t merely duties. They’re why families trust us with the people they love most.

To our team: your compassion ripples farther than you realize. We see it. Our residents feel it. And today, we celebrate the extraordinary difference you make by showing up with skill, heart, and genuine care. 🫶

🎉 Congratulations to Jason, our February Whatever It Takes Champion! 👏 Jason is a long‑term CNA with us who recently stepped into a new role in healthcare information management, and he continues to shine in everything he does. His dedication, teamwork, and heart for our residents and staff have always set him apart.

⭐ In February, he truly went above and beyond, especially during the ice storm. He showed up, stepped into wherever he was needed, and helped keep the facility running smoothly during a challenging time. Thank you, Jason, for your hard work, reliability, and unwavering commitment. Your growth and contributions mean so much to our entire team. We’re grateful to have you and excited to see you continue to excel in your new role! Congratulations again—you’ve truly earned it! 💙
