Settling down before bed is a key part of supporting your mental health and emotional well-being. 🌙

When you take time to slow down & reset before hitting the hay, you're signaling to your body & brain that it's safe to let go of the day.

Here's why this matters: when your mind is racing or your nervous system is still activated, falling (and staying) asleep becomes much harder. And poor sleep? It affects everything — your mood, focus, energy, patience, and overall resilience.

Incorporating small calming practices before bed can:

👉 Help you fall asleep faster

👉 Strengthen emotional regulation

👉 Improve sleep quality & duration

👉 Reduce nighttime anxiety & overthinking

👉 Support your body’s natural recovery & reset process

Even just one or two intentional practices can create powerful change for the long term!

Save this post so you have the reminder at night!! 📩

Therapy is all about understanding yourself on a deeper level. 🤍

When you build self-awareness, you start:

➡️ Recognizing patterns
➡️ Setting healthier boundaries
➡️ Showing up more fully in your own life

Essentially, that internal growth is the foundation for lasting change. ✨

Social anxiety is generally misunderstood as just a fear of public speaking — but it's *much* deeper than that. ⤵️

👉 Fear of saying the “wrong” thing.
👉 Constant self-monitoring in conversations.
👉 Overthinking after even the smallest interactions.
👉 Avoiding group settings out of fear of being judged, embarrassed, or rejected.

Social anxiety is a persistent, overwhelming worry about how you’re being perceived — and it can affect friendships, work, dating, and daily life.

The good news? ➡️ It's highly treatable.

Therapy can help you understand the roots of your anxiety, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build confidence in social situations — at your pace. 🤍

Before you meet your partner at the altar, make communication a priority.

Premarital counseling is a type of therapy that helps couples prepare for marriage by addressing potential conflict areas and aligning on key values and expectations.

Topics we'll explore include:

💙 Intimacy and emotional connection

💙 Financial habits and responsibilities

💙 Communication and conflict resolution

💙 Roles and expectations in the relationship

💙 Family dynamics, future planning, and decision-making

The goal is to build a strong foundation for partnership, prevent future misunderstandings, and equip both partners with tools to navigate challenges together — before you make this lifelong commitment to each other.

Even the healthiest relationships can benefit from a structured, supportive space to talk through important topics.

Let’s talk about OCD — because it’s more than just being “neat” or “particular.” 💭

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a mental health condition where someone experiences unwanted, repetitive thoughts (obsessions) and feels the urge to do repetitive behaviors or rituals (compulsions) to ease the anxiety those thoughts cause.

This can look like:
👉 Feeling stuck in loops of certain thoughts or fears
👉 Repeating actions like checking, cleaning or counting
👉 Avoiding places or situations that trigger certain thoughts
👉 Feeling like your mind is constantly “on,” even when you want to relax

When OCD goes untreated, it can affect your work, school, relationships, and overall well-being. But the good news is — it’s treatable.

Talking to a mental health professional who understands OCD can help you break the cycle in a way that’s supportive and sustainable.

Getting your steps in isn't just good for your bones & muscles.

Even small amounts of movement (like a 10-minute walk) can:

✔️ Improve focus
✔️ Boost your mood
✔️ Reduce anxiety and stress
✔️ Help you feel more connected to yourself

But when you’re feeling low, overwhelmed, or unmotivated… getting out of bed to exercise might feel impossible. That’s when therapy can help.

In individual therapy sessions, we work with you to understand what’s getting in the way — and help you build motivation, create routines, and practice self-compassion in ways that actually stick.

Your path to feeling better doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. Let’s take it one step at a time.

Let's highlight the real, often overlooked experiences of living with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder.

It isn't just about getting distracted easily or feeling restless. ➡️ It can affect self-esteem, relationships, emotional regulation, and day-to-day functioning in ways that often go unseen.

In fact, only about 10% of Americans with ADHD receive an accurate diagnosis, as researched by the CDC.

So, if you've been experiencing some symptoms of ADHD but haven't received a proper diagnosis, therapy is the best next step.

Therapy can help you understand your brain, unlearn shame, and build strategies that actually work for you. In appointments, we'll:

👉 Explore if your symptoms align with ADHD

👉 Help you process the emotional impact of living with ADHD

👉 Teach coping tools, executive function strategies, and emotional regulation skills

You can’t control every part of the healing process — but you can (and should) check in with yourself along the way.

Asking the right questions after therapy helps you process, reflect, and grow — turning each session into a deeper step forward. 💬

Use check-ins to...

👉 Build self-awareness
👉 Strengthen your progress
👉 Keep you grounded between sessions

Make these reflections personalized! But start with the questions in this post as inspiration.

Take these questions to your next appointment & explore them together with your therapist. 🤍

Today is World Mental Health Day!

And while today serves as a great reminder, caring for yourself should be an everyday priority.

That care could look like...

💙 Letting yourself cry
💙 Setting a boundary
💙 Turning off your phone
💙 Saying “no” without feeling guilty
💙 Or laughing without needing a reason
💙 Booking an individual therapy session with someone on our team of compassionate experts

So, take some time to reflect today about what strong mental health habits look like for you. And then tomorrow, and going forward, implement them into your day-to-day!

Send this post to a friend and remind them to do something nice for themselves today — because mental health matters. 🤍
