Join us is recognizing our MDS Case Managers of the Month, Katherine Gammon at Afton Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation, Darlene Aguirre at Concho Health And Rehabilitation Center, and Cherresse Fields at Bluebonnet Point Wellness!

Katherine was nominated by Gwen Pomeroy, RRN, who shared “I would like to nominate Katherine Gammon at Afton Oaks. She always goes above and beyond to assure our residents receive the care and services they deserve. She is a TEAM player and always willing to go above and beyond. She is a leader in her Department Head role. She has overcome many challenges since the facility has joined the Creative family and continues to grow in her MDS position. She is always willing to teach, train and help others to learn the Creative way to assure the best outcomes for our residents. She truly has the heart of a Champion. I am so proud to have Katey on our Creative Team!”

Darlene was nominated by Brandi Gloria, BOM, who shared "I would like to nominate Darlene Aguirre to be MDS Spotlight. Darlene has been MDS Caseworker at Concho for a total of 21 years (not consecutive but still outstanding). She meets and exceeds the expectations presented to her. She has helped many sister facilities by stepping in and training and filling in when there has been no MDS. Concho has been faced with staffing issues for months and months from No DON, No ADON, and short with nursing staff on the floor, but yet she jumped in assumed responsibility for nursing, worked the floor when needed, helps the DON with tasks, led the nursing staff and continues to do so while our new DON is in training and learning. All this while going through the biggest changes for MDS through PDPM, Guided Care changes but continues to stay focused and does an amazing job staying on top of her MDS and identifying where and how to capture accurately. I feel our smaller facility deserves a spotlight for the large impact Darlene makes. She is dedicated and loyal to Concho and Creative and her performance shows this.”

Cherresse Fields was nominated by Melissa Turner, RRN, who shared "I would like to nominate Cheri (Cherresse) Fields with Bluebonnet Point Wellness. I can’t find enough good things to say about her dedication and love for her facility. She has consistently been on the floor with nursing since mid-December, while trying to keep up with the MDS office and duties. She has helped the regional compliance nurse and nursing staff to continue to care for residents and staff. Cheri has worked around the clock with nursing to ensure the facility has the care and support they need. She always has a smile for her residents and co-workers, and you can see how much she is respected and loved. She has provided much needed relief and care to her facility in the past few weeks, and she is appreciated more than she knows.”

"My first job was as a dishwasher at DeLeon Hospital at the age of 14! I saw the way patients responded favorably to delicious meals and good nutrition. I enjoyed Home Economics and nutrition classes and decided I wanted to make a positive impact on people's lives using nutrition as a preventative for chronic conditions before they started. I turned my passion for meal planning, recipe development and nutritional education into service of others.

We’re excited to share more growth within our newly established South Division at Creative Solutions in Healthcare! Janina Paniagua has been promoted to Director of Accounts Receivable, South, and Kolleen Vera has been promoted to Director of Operations Support, South.

Janina brings nearly two decades of healthcare financial and operational experience, including more than ten years with Creative. From Business Office Manager to Area Business Office Consultant, she has consistently strengthened billing accuracy, collections performance, compliance, and trust fund oversight across multiple facilities. Her track record of precision and strong financial results positions her to help build a strong foundation for the South Division.

Kolleen brings over a decade of long-term care financial and operational expertise, with experience ranging from staff accountant to Business Office Manager and Area Business Office Consultant. She understands facility operations from every angle and is passionate about supporting teams in both everyday operations and challenging moments. Her leadership and financial knowledge make her a tremendous asset to the South Division.

We’re excited to announce new leadership transitions at Creative Solutions in Healthcare! Chris Eamiguel is our new Chief Strategy Officer and Steve Post is stepping into the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Chris’s journey with Creative began in 2013 as a financial intern while finishing college. Over the years, he has grown into a leader defined by ownership, strategic thinking, and long-term commitment. As Chief Strategy Officer, Chris will focus on enterprise-wide initiatives, capital markets relationships, public policy, and aligning our operating and real estate platforms for the next era of long-term care.

Since joining Creative in 2025, Steve has played a key role in reporting, acquisition integration, and enterprise-wide financial operations. With over 20 years of healthcare finance experience, he brings deep expertise in corporate finance, operational performance, and strategic planning. As CFO, Steve will oversee finance operations and help drive both day-to-day excellence and long-term sustainability.

After 26 years of shaping dining excellence across our facilities, Amy Wees is retiring at the end of this year, and we’re thrilled to welcome Melanie Presley as our new Vice President of Nutritional Services!

Amy has dedicated over two decades to elevating Nutritional Services across 182 facilities, building strong systems, mentoring leaders, and ensuring every resident enjoys meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable. From regulatory compliance to menu development, her leadership has set the standard for excellence in long-term care dining. Amy’s retirement marks the end of an extraordinary era, but her legacy and exceptional leadership will live on.

Stepping into this role, Melanie Presley brings a wealth of experience as a Registered Dietitian, with a background in large-scale food service operations, school nutrition programs, and long-term care. Since joining Creative Solutions in Healthcare, she has strengthened facilities with expertise, clinical knowledge, and focus on resident-centered dining. Melanie’s vision and passion will continue to advance our Nutritional Services and support our mission to provide the best care and dining experience for our residents.
