The Practice with Sandra Vanatko

The Practice with Sandra Vanatko This page remains home for our community. Since 2010, Indra’s Grace has been serving Weatherford, Texas with over 200 students that join weekly. Come join us!

Founded by Sandra Vanatko over 16 years ago, Indra’s Grace now continues as The Practice — an evolving body of work rooted in presence and embodiment, shared through ongoing practice, mentoring, and retreat. We are a conscious community committed to spreading the teachings of traditional Yoga. We are committed to the evolution and flowering of all beings. Our mission is to offer integrative, well-rounded, and expanded practices from many Yogic traditions to support our students and contribute to raising human consciousness. We are passionate about sharing Yoga in a very traditional way which includes weaving in dharma, pranayama, meditation, asana, and mindfulness into each of our classes. Our goal is to empower students with tools for self-care, self-healing, self-management, and awakening. If you are a seeker looking for connection and finding deeper meaning beyond achievements, desires, trials, and sorrows, the "stuff" of daily life, Yoga practice can be a pathway towards lasting equanimity and peace. Whether you've begun to discover the insights that arise with the practice of Yoga and you want to go further, or you want to move beyond the old narratives that no longer serve you, Indra's Grace provides the scaffolding for growth from beginner to advanced yogi. Yoga, when practiced regularly, can be life-changing in positive ways. Our mission is to offer a space for ALL people regardless of age, race, religious background, and level to feel welcome. We love creating an inviting atmosphere that is inclusive of students of all ages and levels of practice. We are the first studio in Fort Worth that offers classes for beginners, seniors, chair yoga, kundalini yoga, vinyasa, restorative, hatha, and more. Our teachers are highly educated and trained to offer you the highest quality of Yoga for stress reduction, ease of mobility, strength, flexibility, and spiritual awakening. Most of our teachers have over 500 hours of Yoga education. We are a registered Yoga school through Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour and advanced 300-hour level. We offer Yoga teacher training that is certified and popular for those seeking Yoga as a lifestyle, not just an exercise program. We truly have something for everyone and look forward to serving you. Indra's Grace is an invitation for you to realize your capacity for growth and development. Won't you come join us?

Four days until we breathe together.

Imagine logging on.
Settling into your space.
Headphones on.
Lights dim.
Music building.
Breath deepening.

There is something powerful about doing this work in community — even virtually.

You are not alone in your release.
You are not alone in your renewal.

Sometimes what we need most isn’t more information.

It’s space.
Space to slow down.
Space to feel the body again.

Space to sit quietly with experience and allow awareness to deepen.

Taking Your Seat as Loving Awareness is a four-day retreat devoted to the heart of practice: learning to stay with experience—pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral—with steadiness and kindness.

Through yoga, pranayama, meditation, breathwork, and inquiry, we explore the simple yet powerful capacity to remain present with life exactly as it is.
Sandra Vanatko returns to Bodyworks Cayman for her third year guiding this immersion.

Happy Sunday!

I have two events coming up — one this Thursday evening and one this Sunday afternoon — and I’m really excited to gather with you.

Thursday evening I’ll be offering an online Healing Breathwork circle for the Spring Equinox, and on Sunday from 1–3pm I’m hosting my first in-person event since closing Indra’s Grace.
I couldn’t think of a more beautiful time to come together.

Lately I’ve been waking up each morning listening to the birds and feeling that unmistakable shift in the air. Spring is arriving. It feels like a time to slowly come out of our caves and reconnect with each other.

Sunday’s gathering will be a long, slow, nourishing practice — something that supports the body, mind, and heart as we mark the shift of seasons and step into the months ahead.

It will be a small group so we can keep the space intimate, and I’m excited to show you the beautiful space at Blanc where we’ll practice.

Afterward we’ll stay for tea, coffee, snacks, and conversation.

It feels really meaningful to gather again — just in a different rhythm now. I feel very complete with the chapter of holding a studio, and my nervous system continues its journey of decompressing as I step into this new way of sharing.

I hope these periodic gatherings allow us to keep practicing together and staying connected.

Many people come to gatherings like this on their own, and it always amazes me how quickly strangers become friends in a space of shared practice.

I would truly love to see you there.

Feel free to share and bring a friend.

And lately I keep asking myself a simple question each day:

Is this enough, just as it is?

Much Love,
Sandra

Every Equinox I pause.

I look at what I’ve carried through winter.
What I’ve avoided.
What I’ve outgrown.
What is quietly asking to be released.

Breathwork has become one of my most reliable ways to meet those layers honestly.

Not dramatically.
Not performatively.

Just truthfully.

This year we’re gathering online — which means you can enter this work from your own sacred space.

If that feels supportive, I’d love to hold that container for you.

Here's a little snippet from our live class today.

Are we waiting for joy to feel grateful— or is gratitude what actually makes us joyful? 🤔

Drop a 🙏 if you’re ready to shift your mindset today!

Most of us believe we’ll be grateful when we feel joy. But what if it’s the other way around?

When we intentionally look for things to appreciate, we actually invite more joy into our lives.

It’s not just about feeling grateful after the fact—it’s about cultivating that gratitude and appreciation on purpose.

The more we search for what’s good, the easier it is to feel truly happy in the moment.

Worth thinking about.

What’s one small thing you’re grateful for right now?

We’re not meant to do life alone.

One of the things I’ve missed most since the studio transition is the simple beauty of gathering — sharing space, practicing together, and feeling that sense of quiet support in the room.

That’s the heart behind this Spring Equinox afternoon in Fort Worth.

A chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect — not just with yourself, but with others who are also choosing to slow down and care for themselves.

Spring Equinox Reset

Optional tea + community time after

I would truly love to see you there and step into the new season together.

If you’re joining the Spring Equinox Breathwork on March 19, consider this:

The real shift happens in what follows.
Inside The Practice, you have a rhythm to integrate into.

Ongoing support.
Live gatherings.
A library of practices to return to.

Intensity is powerful.

Consistency is transformational.

Both matter.

Leading retreats reminds me why immersion matters.

When we step away from our environment, the nervous system begins to settle in ways that weekly classes cannot replicate.

It’s why I believe in:
• Breathwork intensives
• Weekend immersions
• Longer destination retreats

Each offers a different doorway.
Equinox breathwork is one.
Grapevine is another.
There are many ways in.

There’s something powerful about being in a room where you can simply be — no pressure, no performance, just presence.

As we move toward the Spring Equinox, I’m looking forward to gathering in Fort Worth for an afternoon of practice, connection, and shared space. Moments like this remind us how nourishing it is to slow down together.

This isn’t just about yoga or meditation — it’s about community.

About taking a few hours to reconnect, reset, and feel supported.

Last day in Puerto Rico.

This morning’s practice was about listening for our inner compass.

Each of us has an inner voice that knows the direction we want to move in life… but it can be hard to hear when the outside world gets loud.

Comparison.
Perfectionism.
Expectations.
Other people’s opinions.

Part of the practice is learning how to quiet that noise so we can listen more honestly to ourselves.

Then the rest of the day unfolded exactly how retreat should.

Coffee and matcha chats.
Beach time.
Stories that had us laughing and tearing up.
A sunset piña colada mojito.

And of course… adult camp awards for the unforgettable moments of the week.

A joyful ending to a really special retreat.
