Being a part of your birth team is an *honor and privilege* for me, period. Being invited into your birth space and into your family is a huge gift itself; receiving beautiful, sentimental presents like this from the families I serve is just the icing on the cake!

These gifts are from a family I’ve had the honor of supporting through both of their babies’ births; the experiences we’ve shared together are so special and I love that I now have such beautiful reminders of our time together! Thank you to my sweet friends for pouring into my cup, it really does mean the world 🖤🖤🖤

This third time client absolutely ROCKED her birth center water birth! 🧜🏽‍♀️👑 The look of relief and pure joy on her face is everything! 😍 Baby girl kept us all in suspense over the course of a few days, but once she decided she was ready, there was no stopping her 💪🏻 It’s been an honor to walk alongside these two through the birth of their three babies! 💜💙💚

Join Doula Rachael for a monthly Sunday class offering at the beautiful Center for the Healing Arts, conveniently located in downtown Fort Worth by the hospital district.

Newborn nails! 😍 When your baby is born, their nails may be blue or purple in color which is perfectly normal. Oxygen-rich blood is circulating throughout their body, giving priority to the brain and other organs, and moving to the hands and feet last.

There are many ways to trim your baby’s nails from baby nail clippers, to a fine nail file, to (my personal favorite method) ever-so-carefully biting them 😆 Whichever method you choose, do it while baby sleeps to make it easier for you!

When have been … and waiting… when what you anticipated as a first time person has doubled and tripled in time… when you’ve been putting in hard and long hours, and you’re just trying to when you can… and finally, we come to a point where we can confidently say this baby will be here TODAY Y’ALL 🙌🏻 Like I always say, they all come out 😊 Some just take their time a bit more than others! 🖤

Just like we discuss in our class, location matters!!! Your chances of undergoing surgical intervention - not only births, but also as well - during your birth largely depends on the hospital you’ve chosen! 🤯
