The Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute serves the DFW metroplex with the highest level of orthopedic care available.

The Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Institute (OSMI) specializes in orthopedic surgery, arthroscopic joint surgery, sports medicine, physical therapy and occupational therapy. OSMI was founded with one goal: To provide the highest quality of care possible while giving each patient individual, personalized attention. Working closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and athletic trainers, OSMI believes in exhausting all non-operative options before recommending a surgical intervention. At OSMI, we value open, communicative Doctor-Patient relationships that are based on a mutual respect for all of our patients. Our staff recognizes that going through treatment and rehabilitation for an injury can be a very stressful time in life, and we strive to make the process as convenient as possible. This includes making sure you know exactly what your treatment is and why it is the best for your condition. Patients’ Choice Award winner and a “Top Doc” in Fort Worth as voted by his peers, OSMI founder Dr. Michael Boothby and his staff use the most advanced diagnosis and treatment options available to determine the best course of action for every patient. Patients are treated in a convenient and comfortable setting that includes a knowledgeable and caring support staff. At OSMI we treat all types of orthopedic complaints, though our sub-specialty is in complex arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. We particularly focus on sports medicine for the Dallas-Fort Worth and Arlington areas.

👋 Get to Know Dr. Robert Achilike 
Dr. Achilike is an orthopedic and sports medicine physician at OSMI Decatur who’s passionate about helping patients get back to doing what they love. A Dallas native, he understands injuries firsthand after suffering an Achilles tear while weightlifting and playing basketball. This was what inspired him to pursue sports medicine. 
He treats both kids and adults and specializes in shoulder and knee care, sports injuries, fractures, and tendon or ligament tears. Dr. Achilike is proud to serve families across Decatur and the surrounding communities with thoughtful, personalized orthopedic care.

Meet Tiffany C. Montgomery, MOT, OTR, one of our dedicated Occupational Therapists here at OSMI. Tiffany graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and went on to earn her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. With a passion for helping others regain independence and confidence, she believes in truly getting to know her patients and guiding them back to the activities they love.

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys shopping, decorating, working out, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She brings that same energy and care into every patient interaction, making her a valued part of our team.
