Redwood Pediatric Medical Group was started in 1976 to provide care for the children of the Eel River Valley. We currently have one Pediatrician and one Nurse Practitioner . Staff

James Killfoil, MD

Dr. Killfoil completed medical school at the University of California, San Diego, and did his pediatric training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He joined the practice in 1996.

Staff from Public Health’s Smile Humboldt program are hosting events in collaboration with the Humboldt County Library during February to raise awareness for Children’s Dental Health Month. The first “Love Your Teeth” event takes place Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Rio Dell Library from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Check out the flier for more information about additional event dates, times and locations. History Redwood Pediatric Medical Group was started in 1976 to provide care for the children of the Eel River Valley. We currently have two Pediatricians. Staff James Killfoil, MD Dr. Killfoil completed medical school at the University of California, San Diego, and did his pediatric training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He joined the practice in 1996. Evan Buxbaum, MD Dr. Buxbuam completed medical school at Duke University and did his pediatric training at The University of Vermont. He joined the practice in 2011.
