Experience working with individuals with special needs is a must but you do not need to be a licensed art therapist (although that would be incredible!). The Indiana Education Scholarship Account is about to OPEN ENROLLMENT (on March, 1st) for the 2024-2025 school year!

If your child qualifies for special education services and is not attending a public school, you very likely qualify for an Indiana ESA Scholarship! If you need help navigating their system, don’t hesitate to reach out to us ❤️

What is an Indiana Education Scholarship Account?

An Indiana Education Scholarship Account, administered by the Office of the Indiana Treasurer of State, provides scholarship funding to students with disabilities which they can use to access to the educational environment that best meets their learning needs. Parents of eligible students, or emancipated eligible students, will have the opportunity to spend dedicated scholarship money on pre-approved educational programs, therapies, services, tuition and fees, and other expenses related to the student’s education.

Treasurer Home Indiana Education Scholarship Account Program Parent applications for the 2023-24 school year are closed and will open again on March 1, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year. I Can We Can has added three new days of ADAPTIVE SWIM LESSONS at our Fort Wayne (Turnstone) location!

Please welcome Maddie to the I Can We Can Team! Maddie is currently a Master’s level Speech-Language Pathology student at Purdue Fort Wayne. At the age of 5 years old, her best friend was diagnosed with Autism. She recalls wanting to learn as much as she could about Autism so she could be there to support her dear friend. Throughout high school, she participated in peer tutoring, Best Buddies and multiple volunteer opportunities. While receiving her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in psychology she completed an internship at a local ABA clinic. She also went on to receive training and her certification in administering ABA therapy. Maddie has years of experience teaching swim lessons at a nationally recognized organization and has received an abundance of training in teaching water safety.

With the combination of Maddie’s ABA training and years of swim lesson instruction, she knows that every individual learns and retains information differently. Each lesson is individualized to the kiddos specific needs and will incorporate fun activities and song to keep them interested throughout the lessons.
