Big news from me and O**m Health - we launched our crowdfunding campaign yesterday to allow friends and family to invest in us. Those who invested in MedAnswers will get shares in O**m but we hope you will consider another direct investment.

We kept the minimum low (400 shares for $498) to allow as many of our loved ones the opportunity to buy stock in the future of women's health. In case you aren't aware O**m combines molecular diagnostics, precision medicine and behavioral science to make healthy families. This was a spinout from my first venture, MedAnswers to directly address the disparity in the mass market accessing fertility care. We are open in 14 states, taking insurance in the first six! And now also offering perimenopause support!!

I made two big announcements about my company O**m Health recently and would love your support in amplifying our posts on Linkedin. The first was to announce we were one of 200 companies selected out of 1,000's to showcase and pitch at TechCrunch's Startup Battlefield 2024. This is a huge honor for our Digital Health company which leverages the incredible patient engagement platform, FertilityAnswers, many in my community invested in way back in 2017. O**m Health is a virtual, fertility care platform and clinical network open in 14 states for non-invasive fertility care and perimenopause support. We are an in-network provider for 40M covered lives.

The second announcement was our selection as an Early Stage finalist at Venture Atlanta where I get to pitch O**m on stage in front of about 1,500 mostly investors!

Women get access to only 1.9% of venture funding and I've reached out to 1,800 investors so far of a lead list of 3,000. Both of these events push us ahead of the pack to close our round. Please hop over to my linkedin to spread the love and amplify our company! THANK YOU!!

O**m Health is on FIRE!! We are thrilled to announce we were chosen as one of the Southeast region’s most promising technology companies by Venture Atlanta… | 15 comments on LinkedIn

Though it may feel like it sometimes (or a lot of the time), you are not alone. Infertility can be very isolating, especially if you don't have others in your life that are dealing with the same struggles. We get it, and we're here for you.

Here are a few resources/communities if you're looking for others that understand:

This one is definitely a myth. There have been several studies assessing pregnancy rates in women using various forms of birth control including OCPs and the IUD and found no difference in pregnancy rates after one year of trying to conceive compared to women who were not on birth control.

What birth control does often do is mask symptoms of larger issues/disease, like PCOS and Endometriosis, that absolutely do impact infertility.

"IVF to Baby Hackett is officially kicking off 🎉

After almost 3 years TTC
many medicated cycles
getting diagnosed with
1 ectopic pregnancy from IUI 1
2 failed IUI’s
…we have decided our next step is IVF 🙏🏼

We had our first appointment this week for pre-ivf labs and procedures, went over our timeline, received 2 huge packets of consent to sign our life away with, and order meds…soo many meds 🤯 We now wait for the egg retrieval cycle to start in February!

There is still A LOT of unknown ahead, IVF has no guarantee for a baby. However, We are clinging to hope over fear and trusting the Lord’s plan for us. This whole time we thought we’d never be able to do IVF because of cost. God has showed up and made it very clear to us this is our next step and He’s been paving the way ever since 🙌🏻

We are so grateful for this opportunity- nervous, happy, excited, and ready as we ever will be!

I’ll try my best to update as we go through this process for all of you who have been praying and cheering us on since we looped you in. For those who pray, encourage, love, and support us - Thank you❤️ your hearts mean the world to us.

Lord willing, IVF will lead us to a baby 🙏🏼

LETS DO THIS! 💉🤰🏻🌈👶🏽🤍✨

Ps - I’ve already been blowing up IVF sisters with all the questions, but if you have any tips for us we’d love to hear all we can get!"

"Realistically I know there are more options. More things I could try. More decisions we could discuss. But we’ve done everything that makes sense for my case... and even things that don’t make sense! We’ve poured countless hours and dollars into searching for answers. I’ve manipulated my diet, lifestyle, mindset, and body to get this to work. I feel like I have exhausted my options and myself. I feel defeated.

At what point do you stop searching for more options? More things to add? Because I feel like this could go on for forever. And I feel like I’ve done it all.

I simply couldn’t have put more effort into the last transfer even if I tried. Everything that was in my control I made sure to do. I was happy to do it, but it was also exhausting.

However, I still find myself grasping for more. What can I do next time? What can I change? Is there anything I’m missing?

So I’m forcing myself to sit back and accept that I’ve done it all and more. There’s nothing else for me to do. I just have to keep the hope and put one foot in front of the other."

A conversation we don't have enough. Black women are twice as likely to deal with infertility, but half as likely to seek or receive treatment. There's a long list of reasons for this from lack of representation, harmful stigmas, to discriminatory practices in healthcare, to lack of access, but what we can do is encourage communities where all are welcome and everyone is heard.

Here's to trusting the universe, even when it's let you down, and putting one foot in front of the other, even when you'...

Here's to trusting the universe, even when it's let you down, and putting one foot in front of the other, even when you're not sure where it may lead.
