Thank you to Steve Iwanek and WTOL for visiting with resident Gene Kinn yesterday on Presidents Day, whose remarkable life story includes meeting nine U.S. presidents — thank you for helping us celebrate the incredible history of our one and only Gene! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Gene Kinn, 88, met the presidents from John F. Kennedy to George W. Bush across a three-decade-plus career in media.

Nursing Neighborhood Manager

Purpose: To assist Director of Nursing in assessing resident care

needs and implementing appropriate action in assigned

neighborhood. Implementing policies and procedures.

Supervises nursing staff and supervise quality of nursing

care provided to residents in assigned neighborhood.

Responsible to: Director of Nurses

Qualifications: Current RN license or LPN license in the state of Ohio.

Preferred experience in long term care. Must possess the

ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

Leadership and supervisory ability preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be in good physical and mental health.

Must possess a current health certificate – examination

required by State agencies.

Visual and auditory acuity to detect changes in resident’s

condition.

Responsibilities:

1.) Remain knowledgeable about resident’s conditions

by making daily rounds, discussion with charge

nurse and reporting to Director of Nursing as

directed.

2.) Must have working knowledge about rules and

regulations governing long term care.

3.) Create policies and procedures to ensure highest

quality of care delivery.

4.) Determine the number of staff needed to meet the

needs of residents, make assignments, keep care

cards update, assist in group lists and who works

where.

5.) Provide work schedules for nursing services to

assure 24-hour coverage is adequate.

6.) Assure all nursing personnel understand the

policies and procedures and their in

implementation of same.

7.) Assure budget is followed in personnel and

expenditures.

8.) Delegate authority of work to qualified supervisory

staff.

9.) Serve on Quality Assurance Committee.

10.) Counsel nursing personnel and recommend

disciplinary action to Director of Nursing.

11.) Complete reports and assignments accurately

and adhere to established time schedules.

12.) Participate in Care Plan Meetings.

13.) Observe safety policies, resident’s rights, and

confidentiality (HIPAA).

14.) Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective

action as necessary.

15.) Participate in employee evaluation process.

16.) Perform other related duties as directed by

supervisor.

17.) Observe and assure infection control procedures

are followed.

18.) Participate in review of quality indicator reports

and implementation of corrective actions to improve resident care.
