The holidays are coming!
Our K9s work hard all year long — protecting, comforting, and standing by their handlers through it all.

Do you know a department K9 who could use a little extra wellness care this season?
Whether it’s a patrol K9, comfort dog, or retired hero — we want to help!

Each Bishop’s Mission K9 Wellness Package is designed to bring comfort, recovery, and relaxation:

🐾 Includes:

Collapsible water bowl

All-natural treats

Paw balm or nose butter

Toy for decompression play

Joint supplement sample

Dog-safe essential oil roller

Grooming item

Comfort toy or blanket

“Supporting Both Ends of the Leash” info card

These thoughtful kits remind our four-legged heroes that their wellbeing matters too.

Most pet parents aren’t ready for emergencies—and pets pay the price.

• 9 in 10 pet owners have never had any pet first-aid training.
• The ASPCA Poison Control handled 401,550+ pet toxin cases in a single year—hundreds of thousands of emergencies that start at home.
• ERs say vomiting, diarrhea, bites and toxin exposures are among the top reasons pets land in emergency care.
• Access is tight: not all hospitals are 24/7, so minutes matter before you can be seen.

Why training matters
Knowing how to assess, stabilize, and transport buys your pet crucial time, reduces panic, and can improve outcomes until you reach a vet. Basic skills—safe muzzle, bleeding control, heat-stress response, CPR—can be the difference between life and loss.

Safety Tip
If you’re traveling alone, here’s a simple trick: lock the passenger seatbelt through the passenger side door so it can’t be opened from the outside.

📱 Phone down.
👀 Head up.
💪 Shoulders back.

Ladies—remember to acknowledge people with a quick look in the eye, then keep moving. Don’t hold their gaze or invite them into your space. Confidence is protection. Stay aware. Stay safe. 🖤

Congratulations to Pet Makeovers in Mesa! 🐾
We had the joy of teaching not only Pet CPR & First Aid, but also Emergency Preparedness.

Thank you for being part of the Pet Emergency Network and for being true professionals who give 100% to the pets in your care!

One of my favorite parts of the week is teaching the EVIT class. Why? Because I know the newest grooming students are leaving with the knowledge and confidence to act if a pet ever faces an emergency while in their care.

In an unregulated industry, that peace of mind is music to my heart. 💙🐾

This week, we welcomed 37 new Pet First Responders into the Pet Emergency Network — each one ready to make a difference when it matters most!
