PROOF BEFORE PROMISES - Vitargo has lived by these words for decades.

Our claims are grounded in published, peer-reviewed, University studies, done using HUMANS.

The next several posts (1 thru 6) highlight the studies and their findings.

The full studies are easily downloadable from our website if you’re interested in getting into the weeds and want to “geek out” on the data.

You may not be aware, but many companies have no scientific proof to backup any claims they make about their products.

Other times, companies claim they have scientific studies only to find out that the studies are done by their own staff and are not peer-reviewed or published and/or are poorly designed. This is a conflict of interest.

Another tactic used to fool the consumer is to make product claims on ingredients and not formulations. In this case, there can be valid data on ingredients yet the actually supplement in the bottle doesn’t contain an efficacious dose needed for the touted result.

Insulin plays a key role in muscle building IF you are an active person. It shuttles nutrients into the muscle cells, activating protein synthesis.

No.5 -min. 10% up to 23% endurance boost- this study was performed at the University of Nottingham under Stephens, Roig, Armstrong and Greenhaff (note that the full studies can be downloaded from our website).

The aim was to determine the effect of post-exercise ingestion of Vitargo on performance during a subsequent bout of intense exercise.

The study was performed using cyclists. Indeed Vitargo led to greater work output during the 15-minute time trial post exhaustive training.

All subjects had at least 10% and up to 23% greater endurance performance compared to the work output of the maltodextrin and control groups.

These findings are of practical importance for those who partake in training sessions or competitions where rapid re-synthesis of muscle glycogen storage is required and performance must be maintained during a second period of exercise.

This type of training is very common with many athletes today as most will training several times a day doing both strength and conditioning along with sport specific training (swimming, MMA and combat training, cycling, triathlon, football, etc)

The paper cites the benefits of a high molecular weight carbohydrate in relation the power output. The specific high molecular weight carbohydrate used in the study was, indeed, Vitargo. It’s important to note that HBCD is also a high molecular weight carb but it has no data we are aware of that shows the same results as Vitargo… we will tackle the Vitargo vs HBCD in another post.

Athletes drinking Vitargo had a consistently higher power output compared to the other 2 groups.

To put this into perspective, the difference between a gold and silver on the Rogue platform can come down to a few kilos.

But up until the 1990s, that was thought to be true in regards to carb-based sports drinks.

When maltodextrin was introduced in the 1970s, it was considered a giant leap forward in carb fueling.
