We are excited to welcome Dr. Jennifer Yong to the team at iSight Vision Care!

Dr. Yong is a board certified refractive and cataract surgeon who specializes in advanced techniques in femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, premium intraocular lens surgery, laser vision correction (LASIK/PRK), corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and anterior segment reconstruction. Dr. Yong’s clinical interests also include dry eye syndrome and ocular surface reconstruction for mechanical dry eye.

Dr. Yong received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her medical degree from Brown University. She went on to complete her internship at Yale, residency at New York Medical College, and fellowship at Harvard Medical School – Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. She is fluent in Korean. Dr. Yong also serves on a board examination content revision committee for the American Board of Ophthalmology, in which she reviews knowledge assessment criteria for ophthalmologists seeking board certification.

Scleral lenses are most commonly prescribed for those who have an irregular front surface of the eye, also known as the cornea. This irregularity can be due to conditions such as Keratoconus, high astigmatism, medical conditions that cause irregularity and those who have had corneal surgery or trauma.

We are proud to introduce Dr. Michael Tran to the iSight Vision Care Team!

Dr. Michael Tran was born and raised in Anaheim, California. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and received his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry with Beta Sigma Kappa honors.

He completed his externship training at the Southeast Regional Health Consortium in Sitka, Alaska, Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, Ketchum Health Clinic in Anaheim and the University Eye Center in downtown Los Angeles. His training includes fitting specialty contact lenses, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and dry eyes as well as performing comprehensive diabetic eye exams. He also completed a residency at the Veteran’s Affair Hospital in Long Beach with a focus in primary eye care and low vision rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Dr. Tran enjoys traveling, hiking outdoors and exploring new places to eat. He is also a big fan of the Disney Parks and has had an annual pass for over 11 years!
