Pre-Holiday Home Tip: Test Your Heat Before Guests Arrive
Before the cooler weather (finally) settles in and the holiday guests start rolling through the door, here’s a quick home tip you’ll be glad you did:
Turn your heat on for at least 30 minutes before you actually need it.
It’s totally normal to notice a faint burning smell — that’s just dust burning off the coils after months of sitting unused.
It should disappear quickly once everything warms up.
But…
If the smell doesn’t go away, gets stronger, or the unit isn’t heating properly, it’s time to have it checked out.
