Pose of the day: Warrior 2 also known as Virabhadrasana II, is a foundational standing yoga form that strengthens the legs, glutes, and stimulates abdominal organs.It also
relieves backaches and improves balance and flexibility, builds stamina & concentration, energizes tired limbs, opens chest & lungs, stretches hips, groin, & shoulders.
It involves taking a wide stance, bending one knee, and extending the arms out to the sides, creating a strong and stable stance.
When you practice this pose think about being grounded in Christ. In I Corinthians 16:13 it says, "Remain alert. Keep standing firm in your faith. Keep on being courageous and strong."
Modifications:
Place hands on hips or to heart center
Use a bench or chair under your front thigh
Hold onto something for balance
Deepen Posture:
Move into a forward fold
Interlace fingers behind back and look up opening chest
