Cupid can confirm: every arrow released at Bronner’s Annual Hot Shot Local Media Celebrity Archery Contest raises support for organizations making a real difference close to home. The preliminary round of Bronner’s February 6 Hot Shot Contest will be held at 10:30 a.m. at south checkout. Three entrants will advance to the final round.

The winner will earn a check from Bronner’s for $2,000 for his favorite charity. The other two finalists will earn checks from Bronner’s for $750 for their favorite charities, and those not advancing will earn $500 for their charities. Equal parts entertainment and impact, the contest proves that when the community comes together, everyone hits the mark.

Seven media celebrities are competing in the archery shoot:
- Kyle Makin, NBC 25/FOX 66/CW 46, Midland's Open Door
- Tom Lounsbury with the Tuscola County Advertiser for Great Start Tuscola’s Imagination Library
- Yvonne Daniels with WTLZ KISS 107.1 for the Saginaw African Cultural Festival
- Johnny Burke with 103.9 The Fox for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
- Daniel Balzer with Family Life Radio for Youth Haven Ranch
- Jake May with MLive for Major Chords for Minors.
- Chris Easlick with WNEM 5 for the Cerebral Palsy Foundation

The public is invited to attend and cheer on their favorite media celebrities. Each archer will receive five points in the preliminary round for each fan who attends and registers his support prior to the start of the contest. This event is held in coordination with Bronner’s Be My Valentine Sale.
