📣Update from Houston🎗️

After meeting with his doctor, Justin has decided to switch to a new medication in hopes of reducing the ongoing side effects from his current one. His doctor is very positive about the new treatment and does not anticipate any issues with the transition.

Justin and Kelley will return to Houston for follow-up testing about three months after he begins the new medication, which should be soon.

The latest scan results continue to show encouraging progress, many areas have decreased in activity, and some were not even mentioned in the new report meaning the person reading the scan didn’t see activity.

Two spots showed a slight increase, but doctors believe this is related to inflammation from Justin’s existing shoulder injury and also discovered that the current rib pain he’s been having for a couple months is because he has a fractured rib, the same one that had previously received radiation. So, they scheduled him for an infusion today before they left in hopes to strengthen his bones.

They are currently on the airplane heading back home. Kelley is very impatient as Meg and Andrew had their baby!!! Welcome to the world, Grant McLeod Keller.

It’s Houston Week… and more! 💪✈️

On Tuesday, Justin and Kelley will fly down to Houston for Justin’s next checkup.

Wednesday will be a big day of testing, bloodwork to see how the cancer medication is affecting his organs, a CT scan of the brain to ensure the cancer hasn’t spread, and a PET scan to compare current results to previous ones.

On Thursday, they’ll meet with Justin’s doctor to review the results and talk about whether a change in medication might help reduce the side effects that continue to impact daily life. After that, they’ll fly home Thursday evening, hopefully returning to exciting news as Andrew and Meg are expecting their first baby, due Tuesday! 👶❤️

The week wraps up Friday as the Frankenmuth Eagles take on Richmond in Round 2 of the playoffs. 🦅🏈

Appreicate the prayers and positive thoughts, it’s a big week ahead! 🙏❤️

📣 Justin’s July PET Scan Results – Trending the Right Way! 🩻

Today we met with Justin’s doctor to get the July scan results, and the progress since January has been incredible. 🙌

Here’s a breakdown of a few of the tumors, showing just how far things have come:

🫁 Primary Lung Tumor (Left Lower Lobe)
• January: 4.5 cm | SUV 10.0
• April: 2.5 cm | SUV 2.4
• July: 2.3 cm | SUV 1.7

🦠 Right Subpectoral Lymph Node
• January: Not mentioned
• April: SUV 2.4
• July: SUV 2.8

🦠 Right Paratracheal Lymph Node

🦴 Ribs
• January: SUV 7.7
• April: SUV 3.4
• July: SUV 2.8

🆕 New: A tiny left subpectoral node showed up in July with low SUV 2.1.

🧠 What is SUV?

SUV stands for Standardized Uptake Value — it measures how much radioactive glucose a spot in the body “lights up” on a PET scan.

🟡 Higher SUV = more activity, which could mean cancer.
🟢 Lower SUV = less activity, which often means healing or no cancer.

Bottom line:

The July scan shows continued positive momentum, no new significant disease, and major reductions in tumor size and metabolic activity since January. 🙏

Thank you all for your ongoing prayers, encouragement, and support. Justin is very grateful for all of you! 💙
