๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿš‘ Happy Halloween from Clinton County EMS! ๐Ÿš‘๐ŸŽƒ

Tonight our crews will be out while little ghouls, goblins, and superheroes roam the streets. ๐Ÿ‘ป

Here are a few quick safety tips from your EMS family:
๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Carry glow sticks or flashlights to stay visible.
๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ Use sidewalks and crosswalks. Never dart between cars.
๐Ÿฌ Have an adult check candy before eating it. Accidets happen, check ingredients for allergies!

๐Ÿš‘๐Ÿ† Clinton County EMS Named ALS Provider of the Year ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿš‘

We are proud to announce that Clinton County EMS has been recognized as the 2025 ALS Provider of the Year (Non-Fire Based) by the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association.

This award reflects the dedication and professionalism of our paramedics, EMTs, and supervisors who deliver advanced, evidence-based care to Clinton County every day. Recent initiatives such as our very own paramedic program with 100% first attempt pass rates, advanced ventilator management, i-STAT point-of-care testing, and high-level training simulations have helped us continue raising the standard of prehospital care.

โ€œThis recognition belongs to our entire team,โ€ said Director Steven Deckard. โ€œThey show up every day with skill, humility, and heartโ€”and we are honored to serve this community.โ€

We also want to give special recognition to Sandy Crick, our office manager, who has been serving Clinton County EMS for an incredible 31 years. Sandy joined Steven in Noblesville to accept the award. Her dedication behind the scenes makes so much of our success possible.

The IFCA ALS Provider of the Year award highlights organizations that demonstrate exceptional outcomes, leadership, education, and community engagement. CCEMS was selected from a competitive field of peer agencies across the state.

๐Ÿš‘PATIENT REUNIONโ€ผ๏ธโค๏ธ

Clinton County EMS is proud to announce the survival and recovery of a local resident who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest earlier this year.

Our EMS crews responded swiftly and found the patient in ventricular fibrillation, a life-threatening heart rhythm. Utilizing Zoll X Series Advanced monitors, the EMS team delivered rapid defibrillation and high-quality resuscitative care including the administration of antiarrhythmics. Their quick action restored the patientโ€™s heartbeat and circulation before transport to the hospital. Throughout transportation the crew worked diligently to further stabilize. Our team was recognized for their outstanding care by Indiana Department of Homeland Security and Zoll Medical. Lead Paramedic Josh Halstead, Shift Supervisor Reid Cripe, EMT Chase Kieselbach, and EMT Lily Boles were all recognized.

๐ŸŽ‰Last month, our team had a special moment of celebration as we reunited with the patient on her birthday. Frankfort Fire Department and Clinton County Central Dispatch members also joined in the reunion. The team joined her family and friends to sing Happy Birthday and reflect on the lifesaving efforts that made the day possible.

To see a patient not only survive but thrive, and to celebrate her birthday with her and her loved ones, is the greatest reward we could ask for.

Clinton County EMS continues to emphasize the importance of early recognition, rapid 911 activation, bystander CPR, and defibrillation in improving survival rates for cardiac arrest. The agency is committed to providing the highest quality of emergency medical care to the residents of Clinton County.

This post was delayed to allow for crew recognition by IDHS and Zoll.

๐Ÿ’™ Weโ€™re so excited for this event!

Join your local Ausome community in collaboration with Clinton County EMS and Avon Fire Department for Ausome Safety Day!

This special event was created by our Ausome Indy Moms after a story was shared about one of our nonspeaking Ausome kiddos choking in the car.

We want to help ausome families be prepared for these moments, should they ever occur.

So we created Ausome Safety Day! Join us for safety demonstrations, instructions, resources, meet local firefighters and EMS, and enjoy sensory crafts. This event is designed specifically for our ausome kiddos.
