💗 Heart Awakening with Lindsay — What a Beautiful Evening 🌿

Last Thursday’s Heart Awakening workshop was truly something special. The space felt soft, open, and deeply supportive — the kind of environment where you could finally exhale and let your guard down.

Through guided reflection and heart-centered practices, Lindsay gently helped everyone reconnect with their emotions, compassion, and inner truth. You could feel the shift in the room… lighter bodies, calmer nervous systems, and more open hearts.

We’re so grateful for the intention and care she brings into this work 🤍

Most of us were never taught how to relate to distress…
We were taught to stop it, fix it, distract from it, or override it.

But when we constantly ignore what we feel,
we accidentally teach the nervous system:

➡️ Distress is dangerous
➡️ These sensations aren’t safe to experience

So the body escalates.

Healing begins when we stop trying to get rid of the emotion
and start listening to the sensation.

Feel it somatically — not the story, not the spiral, just the body.

Invite neutrality.
Get curious instead of critical.

“What is my body trying to show me?”
“Where do I feel this?”
“What happens if I stay with it for 10 seconds longer?”

Distress moves when it’s allowed.
Regulation grows when the body learns it can survive the wave.

You don’t have to like the feeling…
just stop fighting its existence.

Forgiveness is Freedom

Forgiveness is not saying
what happened was okay.

It’s not excusing, forgetting,
or inviting the same behavior back in.

Forgiveness is releasing the invisible cord
that keeps your nervous system tied
to a moment that is no longer happening.

Every time we replay the story,
our body relives it.
The heart tightens.
The jaw braces.
The mind searches for a different past.

But the past cannot change —
only our attachment to carrying it can.

Forgiveness is the moment you say:
I will no longer spend my life energy fighting a memory.

You are not freeing them.
You are freeing your body.
Your sleep.
Your breath.
Your ability to feel joy again.

Forgiveness is not weakness.
It is energetic sovereignty.

And sometimes…
forgiveness simply means
you stop asking the wound to become a teacher
and allow yourself to walk forward anyway.

Most of us aren’t actually “lazy” or “unmotivated.”
We’re avoiding something.

Avoiding the feeling.
Avoiding the conversation.
Avoiding the grief, the anger, the truth, the next step.

We stay busy.
We distract.
We numb.
We convince ourselves we’ll deal with it later.

But avoidance doesn’t make it go away—it just keeps it running quietly in the background, shaping our anxiety, our relationships, and our bodies.
