Skilled Nursing facility that specializes in Dementia and Alzheimer's Care. Valley View Alzheimer's Care Center was created in 1968.

Providing the highest standard of care to individuals in Southern Ohio. Our quiet, rural facility is the perfect setting for special country touches, like our made from scratch pies and comfortable front porch rocking chairs. Thoughtful staff members are dedicated to providing specialized personal care and round-the-clock attention. Our low staff turn over allows residents to come to know and trust their care givers. We are committed to assist our respite, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term memory care residents in leading meaningful lives. Mardi Gras Fun at Embassy of Valley View!

Our residents had a fun time celebrating Mardi Gras this past month! They made festive masks, shared colorful beads, and of course enjoyed some yummy cinnamon rolls together. Everyone had a great time!

We Are Proud to Share Some BIG News!

Embassy of Valley View has officially received a 2026 Deficiency-Free Annual State Survey!

This means Valley View met every standard during our annual Ohio Department of Health inspection last week with zero deficiencies.

This incredible achievement reflects the dedication, teamwork, and heart of our entire staff, including Nursing, STNAs, Therapy, Activities, Social Services, Dietary, Housekeeping, Business Office, Maintenance, Laundry, and HR and MDS. Every department plays a vital role in the care and comfort of our residents, and this success belongs to all of them.

We also want to recognize the strong leadership of Michelle Unger, Director of Nursing, and Frank Owusu, Administrator, whose guidance and commitment to excellence help set the standard every single day.

Thank you to our incredible team and our family members who continue to support and believe in us.

💘 Valentine’s Day Glamour Photo Shoot at Valley View!

Our Activities Department made sure our residents were ready for Valentine’s Day. They enjoyed a special day of pampering with hair styling, makeup, fun props, and lots of fun. Both the gentlemen and the ladies enjoyed the photo sessions.

Moments like these remind us that feeling special never goes out of style.

Ross County Caregiver Support Group

Caring for someone with dementia can feel overwhelming and isolating.
You don’t have to do it alone. Join a close knit group focused on education, shared experiences, caregiver support, and honoring the grief that comes with the journey. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Ross County Senior Center. This month we will meet on February 18th at 2 pm. If you are a caregiver or know someone who could benefit, please share this invitation.

We are celebrating three of our favorite people this week: Sarah Littler, our awesome Activity Director, and her amazing assistants Cassandra Norman and Braylyn Cunningham!

If there’s music playing , a furry friend visiting , arts & crafts on the tables, or a party happening, you can bet this team is behind it! Under Sarah’s creative leadership, Valley View is filled with laughter, engagement, and moments that truly matter.

They don’t just plan activities, they create joy, and it shows in the smiles of our residents, the appreciation of our families, and the love from our staff.

Thank you, Sarah, Cassandra, and Braylyn, for your energy, creativity, and big hearts. Valley View is brighter because of you!

Honoring Our Heroes 🇺🇸

A big thank you to NCR Hospice for visiting Valley View and recognizing our veterans yesterday.

Our Activity Director, Sarah Littler and her team presented certificates to each veteran who served, personally thanking them for their service and sacrifice. In addition, each veteran received a thoughtful gift bag as a token of appreciation from the NCR Hospice team.

It was a touching tribute that filled our hearts with pride and gratitude. We are so thankful for our veterans, today and every day!

Halloween Fun at Valley View!

On Friday, employees and residents celebrated Halloween together with a festive party filled with good food, tasty snacks, and plenty of fun costumes! Both staff and residents joined in the holiday spirit, making it a fun day for everyone to enjoy. Great job to Sarah and her department for planning this event, everyone enjoyed the decorations, the food and had a great time!

Puppy Love at Valley View!

We had the best kind of visitors — cute, cuddly, and full of energy! Gabby with Petland of Chillicothe stopped by with adorable puppies (and even a couple of cool reptiles!) for our residents to love on.

The smiles say it all — wagging tails, happy hearts, and lots of laughter filled the room! ❤️

Getting Ready for Halloween Fun!

Our residents had a great time helping Sarah and the Activity Department prepare for Friday’s Employee and Resident Halloween Party! Together, they filled goody bags for our amazing staff. They were all rewarded with sweet treats for all their hard work.

Meet Our Morning Baristas!

A huge thank you to NCR Hospice for providing coffee, muffins, and breakfast sandwiches for our staff and residents on Friday morning.

The coffees were made extra special with a variety of flavors, foam, and toppings — creating a true coffeehouse experience for everyone to enjoy.

Special thanks to Amity, McKenzie, and Nickie for serving with such warmth and care. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support NCR Hospice provides to Embassy of Valley View.
