"I am a KPHA Member because….”

I am a KPHA member because it has provided me with invaluable networking and professional growth opportunities since I was an undergraduate public health student at EKU. Now, as an Assistant Professor at EKU, it has come full circle: I encourage my students to attend KPHA and take advantage of the same opportunities that once helped shape my own professional journey. Each year, I look forward to reconnecting with colleagues and celebrating the incredible work being done across Kentucky in both practice and research settings. As a member, I’ve sought leadership roles, including Director at Large and Committee Chair, to give back to an association that has given so much to me. KPHA continues to foster a sense of energy, collaboration, and statewide connection that inspires me year after year.

I am a KPHA member because...

"I am a KPHA member because…leading public health experts and professionals and people interested in public health from all walks of life come to KPDA to connect and collaborate. To support and share insights on how to improve health across the Commonwealth. To hear the latest science-based information and guidance on a variety of health topics. I’ve never attended a KPHA meeting or event during which I did not learn something useful and interesting. In fact, I also often leave feeling energized and inspired—commitment to our communities is keenly felt in KPHA. We are stronger together, and KPHA is a home for all voices. In KPHDA I’m not learning from AI—I’m learning from AY (All Y’all!)."

I am a KPHA member because...

"I am a KPHA member because I care about the health of the Commonwealth – both for myself today and my children and generations beyond tomorrow. In joining KPHA, I have been able to take an active role in developing, implementing and influencing programs aimed at increasing the health and welfare of populations across our state. Additionally, KPHA provides an opportunity to network with professionals across the state and develop strong ties to foster collaboration. Joining KPHA has been one of the most beneficial decisions I have made, both personally and professionally."
