Day 7- Employee of the Year (2026)
We are very pleased to announce our 2026 Employee of the Year as Shown McKinnley. Shown was nominated for Employee of the Month in September, her nomination read:
Originally from Bringhurst, Indiana, Shown has been married to her husband, Brian, for 16 wonderful years. Together, they share a beautiful family of 5 wonderful children and three cherished grandchildren who bring endless joy to her life.
In her spare time, Shown loves spending time with her family and traveling alongside her husband. She describes the best day of her life as the moment she decided to change her career path and become a CNA, a decision that truly transformed her life.
When asked about her best advice, Shown shared these inspiring words:
“Be kind—it doesn’t cost anything. Treat people the way you want to be treated and never give up.”
She takes great pride in having the courage to start a new career later in life, saying,
“You’re never too old to start over.”
When asked why she chose Wesley Manor, Shown said,
“Wesley Manor gave me the chance to get into the field I was always too scared to try. I absolutely love what I do.”
Shown’s passion, kindness, and dedication make her an invaluable part of our Wesley Manor family.

Today we celebrate the retirement of our Residential Nurse of 28 years. We thank you Laura for your hard work and dedication. You will be greatly missed by residents and staff. Enjoy a well deserved retirement on the beach!

Day 4- How much fun we have.
At Wesley Manor, there is never a dull moment. We love to stay active and keep our brains sharp. Today, we had a Christmas party in our residential area, and residents had such a good time. We enjoyed some snacks and refreshments while playing games like weird but true Christmas facts, which came first, finish the Christmas song lyrics, and finished with musical packages.

Day 3- Resident Spotlight
Lou Ann has been a part of the Wesley Manor family since December of 2021. She chose Wesley Manor because she was a big part of the community and did not want to give that up. One of her goals was to still be able to make decisions and be happy in her adorable apartment. When asked what she enjoys most about living with us Lou Ann stated, “The number of amenities, also the fact that even though I am independent I can choose to be a part of as much or as little as I want.”
We really enjoy living with LuAnn in our community, where each resident is a member of our family.

Day one & two of our 12 Days of Christmas celebration. 🎄

We are truly grateful for the incredible community that surrounds us. Last week, our residents had the opportunity to enjoy a special outing to see the beautiful TPA Park Christmas lights, creating meaningful moments and lasting memories together.

We also had the pleasure of hosting our Tour of Trees, and it was heartwarming to see so many community members join us to celebrate the season. Thank you to everyone who helped make these moments so memorable — your support and presence mean more to us than words can express.

Pictured are just some of the trees, stay tuned for our Tour of Trees winner and donations totals. We are thankful for each of our sponsors this year with a total of 31 trees.
