As we observe Cervical Cancer Awareness Month we encourage Kentucky's women to take care of their health and get screened. Cervical cancer is the only type of cancer where most deaths are preventable. Our goal is to get more women screened for cervical cancer, get them screened earlier (starting at age 21) and get them screened regularly. Early detection saves lives.

So thankful to be a part of the Backstretch Women's Event at Keeneland with many of our partners. The rainfall didn't dampen the spirit or the attendance. Seventy women, nearly all of them Keeneland track workers, attended and 20 were screened on site with the Mobile Mammography van. A great day for education and outreach.
