This means that many toiletries and other basic items are provided by donors like you! We are grateful to the Mayor and Trustees of the Village of Hoffman Estates for visiting the SHARE Program on February 13 in honor of Valentine’s Day.

Their visit included delivering Valentine’s cards created by young community members to share encouragement and support with our clients.
These thoughtful messages help brighten the client experience at SHARE and remind individuals in recovery that they are seen, valued, and supported by their community. Small gestures like this can have a meaningful impact during the recovery journey.

Thank you to Mayor Bill McLeod, Trustees Anna Newell and Gary Stanton, and dedicated community members Lon and Doris Harner for your support not only on Valentine’s Day, but throughout the year as we serve those struggling with addiction.

We are also deeply appreciative of the young community members who contributed cards and continue to stand alongside SHARE.

Leyden Family Service was honored to attend a town hall with Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch and State Representative Norma Hernandez.

We appreciate the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue about the needs of our communities, including important discussions around mental health, immigration, cost of living, job opportunities, and both past and current legislation they have worked on.

These conversations are critical to advancing accessible and equitable mental health and social services across Illinois.
