We were honored to attend Franklin Borough’s annual September 11th Memorial. Our Captain joined members of the Franklin Fire Department Inc. and Franklin Borough Police and lit a candle in remembrance of the first responders who perished on September 11, 2001.

🚸 TEMPORARY NO PARKING ORDER & ROAD CLOSURES 🚫

EVENT: The Center for Prevention & Counseling’s Annual Changing the Face of Addiction Walk

There will be a temporary no parking order in effect along sections of Main Street and Rutherford Avenue from 8:00 pm on 8/1/25 through 12:00 pm on 8/2/25 for the Center for Prevention & Counseling’s Annual Changing the Face of Addiction Walk. There will temporarily be no street parking along the following roadways:

🚫Main St. (between Parker St. and Rutherford Ave.)
🚫Rutherford Ave. (between Main St. and High St.)

The event route is as follows:

🚸 Parker Street (Fireman’s Park) -> Main Street -> Rutherford Avenue -> High Street -> Buckwheat Road -> Parker Street (Fireman’s Park).

There will be multiple road closures on 8/2/25 along the event route beginning at approximately 10:00 am, which will reopen after the conclusion (estimated time of road closures: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm).

We appreciate your patience as we support the Sussex County Center for Prevention & Counseling’s largest annual charitable event.

Join first responders from Franklin, Hardyston, Hamburg, and Ogdensburg for a family-friendly evening of fun and games! We hope to see you there!

🚦 TRAFFIC ADVISORY UPDATE 🛑
The installation of traffic control enhancements for the intersection of Main Street and Junction Street has been scheduled for April 1, 2024.

Under the current configuration, drivers are met with flashing yellow lights when traveling northbound and southbound on Main Street. Meanwhile, eastbound and westbound traffic on Junction Street encounter flashing red lights.

As a part of the planned improvements, stop signs will be installed in all directions, converting the intersection into a 4-way stop for increased safety and efficiency.
