Those poignant words, commonly attributed to one of Patty’s favorite writers, Dr. Seuss, are clearly how she would like to be remembered. And countless people most certainly will.

Patty Ellen Gallagher (Pat to most) was born in South Bend, IN, on July 24,1956, to Gerald Thomas and Mary Joan Strobel Gallagher. She passed peacefully at home in Franklin, PA, on December 4, 2025.

Last night we held our annual Holiday Remembrance Service. It was a beautiful evening of coming together to honor and remember the loved ones we’ve lost. Santa stopped by Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home today with a very important reminder. 🎅✨
There is still time to help make the holidays brighter for Veterans and their families.

We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for local Veteran families and stocking items for Veterans in need. If you would like to take part, simply drop your donations off at the funeral home.

Every toy and every stocking makes a real difference.
It lets a Veteran know they are remembered, appreciated, and supported this season.

What's a common response you give to someone who just lost a loved one?

It's hard to answer the well-meaning "How are you?" after losing a loved one. Saying "I'm fine" is sometimes easier than sharing your feelings, but opening up to those who care about you is necessary to your grief journey. Grief has no timeline, and you are not a burden. The people in your life want to support you.
