Getting ready and.....done! Today we completed 10 weeks worth (crammed into 5 weeks) of our kids' empowerment curriculum: I Believe in Me! And Infinite Possibilities ♾️, based on the work of author & public speaker Mike Dooley and the gifted Rebecca Psigoda . So grateful for my partner in crime in this project, our fabulous student intern Kristen C. ❤️❤️❤️

Grateful and happy as we celebrate 17 years of business (since 08-08-08) providing mental health services to our community! We appreciate our amazing therapists and admin/billing professionals, all of whom we consider family. 💕 We look forward to expanding neurofeedback services with our new sister company TLC for Brains - stay tuned as we will be adding info on those services soon.

You matter! To those who are celebrating today - Moms, stepmoms, foster moms, bonus moms, expecting moms-to-be, animal moms, and all those who "mom" as aunts, grandmothers, and nurturers of others... You matter!

You matter! To those who are grieving today - Those who have lost a child, experienced stillbirth or miscarriage, have been unable to conceive, have had a child removed or placed for adoption, to those whose moms have passed. May your heart find comfort today. You matter!

You matter! To those who are unsure about motherhood or who have a complicated mother relationship. You matter!

Thank you to the Balsam Mountain Inn for hosting our annual Christmas party. We enjoyed dinner, games and prizes, always charades 😂, and a chance to laugh and kick off the holidays with some of our favorite people! We even had time with Santa and Mrs. Claus. 🎄 Wishing everyone peace and joyful holidays and all the best in the coming New Year. 💕

December 1st marked the one year anniversary of Medicaid expansion being approved in our state! 🎉 In the past year over 569,000 North Carolinians enrolled in a Medicaid plan enabling access to vital medical and mental health services. The graphic below shows Macon County's enrollment at over 1800 in this timeframe. Way to go to all those who worked tirelessly for years to achieve this milestone!!! 😀
