The Fork Functional Medicine

The Fork Functional Medicine When everything looks normal but you don’t feel right—this is where answers begin. Featuring Mission YOU—your path to a true biological reset.

You’ve been told your hormones are the problem.

The fatigue. The weight gain. The mood swings.

So you try to “fix” your hormones—supplements, medications, maybe even hormone therapy. And yet… something still feels off.

Because what if the issue isn’t your hormones at all?

What if the real problem starts in your gut?

Your gut is not just about digestion. It plays a direct role in how your hormones are produced, metabolized, and cleared from the body. When the gut is imbalanced, it can disrupt estrogen regulation, impair thyroid function, and fuel inflammation that keeps your body stuck in a cycle of symptoms.

This is why so many people feel like they’re doing everything right—and still not getting answers.

At The Fork Clinic, we look deeper. Because true hormone balance starts with understanding the systems that control it.

Our latest blog breaks down the gut-hormone connection and what it means for your health.

If you think gut health is just about bloating… you’re missing the bigger picture.

Your gut is directly connected to how you feel every day.

It influences:
• Mood and anxiety
• Hormone balance
• Inflammation levels
• Brain function and focus
• Energy and metabolism

This is because your gut and brain are constantly communicating through your nervous system, your immune system, and your hormones.

So when your gut is off, it doesn’t just show up as digestive symptoms.

It can look like:
Fatigue
Brain fog
Irritability
Hormone imbalance
Weight that won’t move

This is where so many people get stuck—treating symptoms without ever addressing the root.

At The Fork Clinic, we take a different approach.

Inside Mission YOU, we start with a structured biological reset designed to calm inflammation, support the gut lining, and restore communication between your gut, brain, and hormones.

Because when your gut begins to heal, everything else starts to shift.

If you’re tired of feeling off and not getting answers, this is your next step.

Most people think their biggest challenge is food.

It’s not. It’s what the food has been doing for them.

The foods you crave often act as emotional regulators, helping manage stress, overwhelm, boredom, or even certain relationships. When you remove those foods, the patterns underneath start to surface.

This is what we see every day inside the Mission YOU 12-Week Transformation:

• Stress can feel more intense
• Emotional patterns become clear
• Draining relationships stand out
• Boundaries become necessary

This isn’t a setback. It’s insight.

Your body responds to more than food: stress, relationships, and unprocessed emotions can drive inflammation just as much as what’s on your plate.

At The Fork Clinic, this is why Mission YOU goes beyond nutrition.

We start with a biological reset in the 12-Week Transformation—then build into Mastery, where we address stress, resilience, and long-term change.

The next 12-Week Transformation begins May 4th, and space is limited.
Reserve your spot and take the first step toward understanding what your body has been trying to tell you.

We're growing — and we need your help spreading the word!

Our practice has reached an exciting inflection point. Many of you have asked if we can be your primary care provider in addition to your functional medicine care — and we've listened. We're looking to bring on an exceptional Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team as our dedicated primary care provider.

This role will start 1–2 days per week and grow into 3–4 days, with strong flexibility. You'll also have the rare opportunity to learn from and work alongside a leader in functional medicine, longevity, and anti-aging — someone who has built this practice from the ground up and is committed to mentoring the next generation of holistic providers.

This isn't your typical P*P role. This is medicine practiced with time, curiosity, and a true functional lens.

Our ideal provider will:
• Serve as the ongoing point of contact for patients' routine care
• Perform well visits, annual physicals, pelvic exams & paps, and women's health services
• Support mental health and whole-person wellness
• Manage preventive care, screenings, and common acute/chronic conditions
• Act as the "quarterback" of patient care, coordinating referrals within a functional framework

Qualifications:
• Active NP or PA license in Tennessee
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience

We are a well-established, NP-owned functional medicine practice operating in a cash-pay model (HSA/FSA accepted; superbills provided). This is an opportunity to build a meaningful practice within an established setting — with built-in demand and a team committed to root-cause care.

Know an amazing NP or PA? Tag them or send them our way. And to our patients — thank you for trusting us as we grow.

Interested candidates: info@theforkclinic.com
or DM us.

For decades, women have been told that menopause symptoms are something to tolerate.

But what’s often overlooked is what’s happening beneath the surface.

Estrogen is not just a reproductive hormone, it plays a direct role in cardiovascular health. As levels decline after menopause, we often see increased inflammation, shifts in cholesterol, reduced vascular flexibility, and a rise in long-term disease risk.

This is one of the reasons heart disease becomes significantly more common in women after menopause.

Now, even at the regulatory level, the conversation is beginning to shift.

The FDA has recently begun reevaluating long-standing safety messaging around hormone therapy, as newer data continues to challenge earlier conclusions about risk—particularly when it comes to cardiovascular health and timing of treatment.

In other words, the narrative is evolving.

Because the science is evolving.

At The Fork Clinic, we take a root-cause approach to hormone health. We don’t treat hormones as optional, we treat them as foundational to how your body functions.

Our goal is not just symptom relief. It’s restoring balance in a way that supports:

• Cardiovascular health
• Muscle preservation
• Bone density
• Cognitive clarity
• Metabolic function

This is personalized medicine, not one-size-fits-all care.

You don’t need to accept decline as normal.
You need the right data, the right plan, and the right support.

Mold isn’t just a home issue—it’s a health issue.

Mold is a fungus that thrives in damp environments and releases microscopic spores into the air. Once inhaled, those spores can trigger inflammation and affect multiple systems in the body.

Not all mold is the same.
“Black mold” (Stachybotrys) gets the most attention, but many common molds (like Aspergillus and Penicillium) can also produce toxins and disrupt your health. It’s not just the type—it’s your exposure and how your body responds.

Common symptoms of mold exposure:
• Chronic fatigue
• Brain fog
• Sinus or respiratory issues
• Headaches
• Skin irritation
• Hormone imbalance
• Anxiety or poor sleep

Here’s what most people miss:
You can be doing everything right and still feel off… if mold is part of the picture.
Functional medicine looks deeper to identify root causes like mold that impact your gut, immune system, detox pathways, and hormones.

04/18/2026

Something big just shifted in the world of peptide therapy.

In April 2026, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced steps to ease restrictions on several previously limited peptides—opening the door for compounding pharmacies to produce compounds like BPC-157 and TB-500.

This is a notable reversal from the 2023 restrictions, and it signals a larger conversation happening in healthcare right now.

So what does this actually mean?

It means peptides that were once pushed into the “gray market” may soon have a more regulated, transparent pathway for access.

And that matters.

Because peptides aren’t just about trends...they’re about how the body repairs, regulates, and restores itself.

At The Fork Clinic, peptide therapy has never been about shortcuts or hype.

It’s about:
• Supporting tissue repair and recovery
• Reducing inflammation at the cellular level
• Protecting muscle and joint integrity
• Optimizing longevity and performance
• Working with your biology—not against it

But let’s be clear, this shift comes with nuance.

Many peptides still lack large-scale clinical trials.
And not every option is appropriate for every patient.

Which is exactly why this moment matters.

As regulation evolves, the need for medically guided, personalized care becomes even more critical.

This is where functional medicine leads.

We don’t chase trends.
We evaluate, test, and build protocols based on your physiology, your goals, and your long-term health.

Because access alone doesn’t create outcomes.

Strategy does.

If you’ve been curious about peptide therapy—this is the time to get informed, not reactive.

Ready to explore what’s right for your body?

Schedule a free consultation with our team to see if peptide therapy fits into your personalized care plan. (615) 721-8008

04/16/2026

You are being exposed to more toxins than any generation in history.
Up to 80% of pesticide exposure happens INSIDE your home.

Not just outside.
Not just in agriculture.
Inside your kitchen. Your air. Your everyday products.

And over time, that exposure doesn’t just “pass through.”

It accumulates.

It disrupts hormones.
It slows metabolism.
It impacts brain function, energy, and immune health.

So when you feel off—
tired, inflamed, foggy, or stuck—
it may not be a lack of effort.

It may be a body that’s overwhelmed.

And here’s the reality…
most conventional labs don’t measure toxic burden.

So you’re told everything looks “normal.”

At The Fork Clinic, we look deeper.
Because when you understand what your body is up against,
you can finally support it the right way.

You don’t need more medications.
You need answers.

If you’ve been doing everything right and still don’t feel like yourself,
it’s time to ask better questions.

Schedule your free consultation and let’s uncover what’s really going on.

04/14/2026

You were told this was just part of being a woman.

The exhaustion…
The weight that won’t budge…
The mood swings, brain fog, night sweats…

“Your labs look normal.”
“This is your new normal.”

And slowly… you have started to believe it.

But did anyone tell you this?

When estrogen declines, it’s not just hot flashes.
It’s bone loss. Thinning hair. Dry skin. Vaginal dryness. Loss of elasticity. Increased risk for osteoporosis.

When testosterone drops, it’s not just libido.
It’s muscle loss. Slower metabolism. Fatigue. Loss of strength and confidence.

And progesterone?
That deep, restorative sleep you used to have… the calm, steady mood…
gone.

So that weight around your middle?
That constant exhaustion?
That disconnect from your body?

It’s not in your head. And you don’t have to live this way.

At The Fork Clinic, we offer a more natural approach with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT)—designed to match your body and restore balance.

With a simple screening, lab work, and a current breast exam, you could start feeling like yourself again in as little as two weeks.

✅ More energy.
✅ Better sleep.
✅ Restored libido.
✅ Clearer thinking.
✅ A body that finally feels responsive again.

And here’s the difference—We offer à la carte pellet therapy for women. No full program required. Most women come in every 3–4 months for hormone support.

Want to go deeper?
We also offer full functional medicine testing to optimize your thyroid, adrenals, and overall health.

-You have options.
-You have support.
-And this is NOT the end of your story.

Call today for a free consultation (615) 721-8008
and get $25 off your first pellet insertion through April 30th.

Who are we...

We are a small boutique health care clinic. We offer functional medicine by appointment only and community clinic hours as well - often available by walk-in or same day appointment.

Functional medicine is for everyone and its about one on one personalized health care; the provider and the patient are in a partnership and work as a team focused on achieving optimal health. We do this by assessing predispositions for disease or illness and uncovering the root cause of any current health challenges.

The community clinic hours are offered as a service to Leipers Fork and the surrounding communities, because sometimes we cant wait for an appointment we just need to see a provider right now. We recommend appointments for these visits but walk in’s are worked in whenever possible.

We are excited to open the clinic the fall of 2019.
