🧠 What Are Executive Functions? 🧠

Ever wondered how kids plan, focus, and manage their time? That’s all thanks to executive functions—the brain skills that help with attention, self-control, organization, and problem-solving.

Our latest blog breaks down what executive functions are, why they matter, and how therapy can support kids in strengthening these essential skills.

Check it out and learn more about helping your child thrive every day! 💙✨

Executive functions are the essential self-regulating skills that we all use every day to plan, organize, make decisions and learn from past mistakes. Kiddos rely on their executive functions for everything from taking a shower, playing with a toy, writing their name, or even eating a snack!

👅 Speech Therapy in Action! 👅

Our friend is learning a fun new skill—moving the tongue up toward the top of the nose! This helps build oral motor strength and supports clearer speech. Progress + fun = win! 💙✨

✨ Requesting bubbles = learning through fun! ✨

Bubbles are always a hit—but they’re even more exciting when they help build communication skills!

Our friend Nathan is doing an amazing job using his AAC device to tell us what he wants and needs. In ABA, we’ve been modeling how to use his device to make requests, and it’s incredible to see him starting to do this independently.

During this session, Nathan first asked for toy cars. When he learned there weren’t any in the room, he quickly problem-solved and requested bubbles instead! As soon as they came out, he was all smiles, laughter, and the best funny faces.

Moments like these remind us why we love what we do—real progress, meaningful communication, and lots of fun along the way! 💙✨

Meet Jamison! 💙✏️

He’s been working hard at an upright surface to help strengthen his arm muscles and support a better hand and wrist position—skills that are so important for coloring, drawing, and early pre-writing development.

We love seeing his confidence grow with every session! 🌟👏

🎉 ABA Session Fun!

Who’s teaching who today?! 😄

Our smart kiddo decided it was THEIR turn to run the show and put their RBT to the test with some WH questions. Spoiler alert: she passed with flying colors! 🙌✨

She crushed it so well that she earned a little play break… while our patient got everything ready for the next session. Talk about teamwork and learning both ways! 💙

These moments are why we love what we do—growth, laughter, and lots of fun packed into every session! 🌟

Little hands and big holiday cheer 🎄✨

Our RBT and client had so much fun getting creative by making festive wreaths with pipe cleaners! Activities like this are a great way to build fine motor skills, encourage creativity, and practice teamwork—all while enjoying some holiday fun together.

We love seeing learning come to life through joyful, meaningful moments like these! 💫
