✨ Meet the Staff Monday ✨

Say hello to Marianne Martinez, our Chief Executive Officer here at Vecinos! Marianne has been part of the Vecinos family for 8.5 years, and what she loves most is getting to work alongside our incredible staff and volunteers who make this mission come to life every day.

Fun fact — she grew up on a small family farm in Western North Carolina and discovered her love for Spanish at just five years old in kindergarten! 🌱

Right now, she’s reading Stand Up That Mountain by Jay Erskine Leutze, a story about protecting an Appalachian community along the AT. Stories rooted in our mountain culture resonate deeply with her and reflect the values she brings to Vecinos: family, community, and resilience.

💛 Celebrating Esperanza 💛 For almost 5 years, Esperanza has been a true pillar of Vecinos. From helping build our COVID response system to bringing structure and support to the mobile clinic, her impact has been felt in so many meaningful ways. Her creativity, dedication, and leadership have helped shape the work we do every day. Beyond her incredible contributions, Esperanza’s bubbly personality, warmth, and positivity have brought so much light and joy to our team. She is welcoming, fun, and always professional - truly a joy to work alongside.
