Dr. Lask brings an exceptional background in leadership, service, and clinical excellence. From serving our country as an officer in both the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy Dental Corps to advanced specialty training in endodontics at UMKC, his career reflects a deep commitment to patient care, education, and service. Today, he continues that commitment as an assistant clinical professor at the UMKC School of Dentistry while providing expert endodontic care to his community.

A third-generation Tucsonan and proud Arizona Wildcat, Dr. Martin first discovered his passion for dentistry while shadowing Dr. Dean Hauseman at Southern Arizona Endodontics. Fifteen years later, he has returned as a valued colleague and endodontist.

Dr. Martin brings a wealth of experience from serving in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps, advanced specialty training, and private practice ownership. Exciting news, the AAE has officially released an updated CBCT position statement. 👏

The American Association of Endodontists, in collaboration with the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, has published its 2025 Joint Position Statement on the Use of CBCT in Endodontics, a meaningful milestone for the specialty.

The updated guidance reinforces what both evidence and clinical experience have increasingly demonstrated: CBCT plays a critical role in accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and outcome assessment in endodontics, particularly in complex, ambiguous, or retreatment cases. CBCT provides diagnostic insight that cannot be achieved with 2D imaging alone.

At Specialized Dental Partners, we view this update as an important step forward for endodontics, and, ultimately, for the patients our doctors and teams serve.
