Phase one begins May 8 and will be reevaluated based on the case number data on May 22 🤓
Thankfully All Massage Therapy is still temporarily halted Statewide due to the high risk of virus transmission... grateful our Governor is making decisions based on logic and data to keep us all safe and healthy. 🤲💕

Good morning, friends 🏵 The NC Unemployment application has been updated to allow self-employed and independent contractors to apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance benefits as promised. If you've previously submitted an application you'll need to log back in to your account on the website and answer the additional new questions relating to your business/work and self-employment. Since it's Day 1 of the new application, the website is experiencing heavy traffic and may glitch from time to time. I found that getting on there either early or late in the day seems to work better. The website would "time-out" or I'd get something called a "Scubi error" .. I'd click the "Back" arrow one time and then "Next" and it would reload to let me progress forward. They do ask for a "Proof of Self-employment" document to be either uploaded or faxed within 21 days of submitting your application.... such as a bank statement or bill with your business name on it.. I'm not an expert at this but I did go through as far as I could this morning, before the website backed up. If I can answer any additional questions about the application from my experience, please let me know.
