"Packaged inside of every mistake there lays a great lesson. And while I don’t want to take the mistake into the New Year, I most certainly want to take the lesson that’s packaged inside of it." Craig D. Lounsbrough

Holiday drinking has a way of showing up everywhere this time of year, even when you’re committed to recovery.

Learn more about why winter can increase cravings and how to protect your sobriety through the season.

Holiday drinking has the pesky talent of creeping in from every angle this time of year, and you might notice it long before the first snowstorm. One moment, you’re anticipating a few days off to enjoy your recovery, and the next, every movie, ad, or holiday party calls you back to

The holidays can be busy, but don’t forget to rest and recharge. Taking care of yourself is the best way to show up for others. You matter.

Here are a few self-care tips to keep in mind this week:
✨ Give grace: This time of year isn’t joyful for everyone, and it’s okay to feel sad or overwhelmed. Honor your feelings and be kind to yourself. If someone else seems irritated or down, extend understanding—you never know what they might be going through.

✨ Set boundaries: Protect your time and energy by saying no to commitments that feel overwhelming. Prioritize what matters most to you and honor your limits.

✨ Unplug from work: If you're taking time off, fully disconnect from emails and notifications. Set an out-of-office reply and allow yourself to enjoy rest and renewal without distractions.

✨ Ask for help: Don’t hesitate to reach out to friends, family, or a professional if you need support. Sharing how you feel can lighten the load and provide clarity.
