Today, the Community Care Clinic of Franklin received an abundant and incredibly generous donation of medical supplies from Mary Williams with the First United Methodist Church Medical Loan Closet.

These supplies will make a real difference for our patients and help us continue providing compassionate, accessible care to those who need it most. We are so grateful for partners in our community who step forward to support our mission in such meaningful ways.

A huge thank you to Shearl Produce for continuing to bless our clinic with another generous donation of fresh vegetables — including okra, green beans, squash, zucchini, bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and potatoes! 🥒🍅🥔

Because of their kindness, our patients and visitors can take home healthy, locally grown produce completely free of charge. 💚

We want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Shearl Produce for their generous donation of fresh vegetables for our patients and community members! 💚

Thanks to their kindness, our clinic waiting area is filled with the beautiful colors of local produce — from bright red tomatoes and crisp cucumbers to hearty potatoes, onions, and vibrant peppers. These healthy, farm-fresh items are available for anyone to take home and enjoy, free of charge.

Join us in welcoming one of our newest Employees!

Lisa Bengtson, Community Outreach

Lisa has called Macon County home for over 30 years, although she has been spending time with family in Franklin since 1976. Her work experience is diverse with a focus on Film and Video, and Marketing and Design. She likes to spend time with family and friends, and go anywhere here is water. One of her favorite places is sitting on her porch with her cat, “Dude”, listening to the creek and watching the wildlife.

Lisa is excited to bring hope to her community with the services the CCCF offers - services that everyone need. Services that the majority of Macon County and surrounding counties are not aware of. She wants to show them that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

We are so happy to have her on our team!

Meet One Of Our Volunteers/Student Interns 🩺 Samuel-Chase Silveus

Sam is one of our newest Volunteer Medical Assistants/Student Interns here at the Community Care Clinic of Franklin. Originally from Cherokee County, Georgia, Sam moved to Cullowhee, NC to pursue his studies at Western Carolina University. With a strong passion for healthcare, his ultimate goal is to attend medical school and become a doctor.

We are excited to have Sam on our team and look forward to supporting him as he continues his journey toward a future in medicine!
