Whosoever Recovery Tips for the Holidays
1. Start The Day With Surrender
Give the day to Jesus before anything else.
2. Know Your Triggers Before They Show Up
Identify the stress points that usually hit you during the holidays.
3. Keep Your Boundaries Strong
Protect your peace. Boundaries are stewardship of your recovery, not selfishness.
4. Stay Connected to Your People
Don’t isolate. Community keeps you steady.
5. Plan Your Exit Strategies
Respectfully step away when needed, whether it's just for a few moments or for the rest of the day.
6. Replace Old Habits With Life-Giving Rhythms
Choose Spirit-led actions instead of old patterns.
7. Keep Worship Playing
Worship resets your mind and spirit quickly.
8. Stay in the Word Even When You’re Busy
Don’t let holiday chaos push Scripture out of your routine.
9. Give Yourself Grace
If you struggle, run to Jesus, not from Him.
10. Remember Who You Are in Christ
You are a new creation, not your past.
11. Serve Someone Who’s Hurting
Shift your focus from pressure to purpose.
12. Celebrate With Intention, Not Impulse
Choose peace over pressure in every holiday decision.
Remember:
Truth: Christ is your strength in every season, even the stressful ones. You are not fighting your battles alone, and you are not the person you used to be.
Choice: Choose daily surrender. Guard your heart, stay connected, and walk in the Spirit even when emotions run high or old patterns try to resurface.
Action: Move through the holidays with intention, set boundaries, seek support, serve others, and let Jesus guide every step so you can walk in peace, freedom, and clarity.
