Maxwell Pharmacy would like to introduce the woman behind the counter…. To short to be seen most days, our new owner and fearless pharmacist Chrissy Martin!

Chrissy grew up in Athens, TX, where she graduated from AHS in 2001. After which she attended Texas A&M University, where she graduated with a Biomedical Science degree in 2004. Unsure of what medical field to apply to she moved back home and interviewed everyone she could find in the healthcare profession till she landed inside a local independent pharmacy working as a pharmacy tech. After a few months there she decided to apply to pharmacy school where she too dreamed of one day owning her own store.

She then went on to attend The University of Houston College of Pharmacy where she graduated with a doctorate degree in pharmacy in 2009. She spent the first fifteen years of her career working in an independent pharmacy as a minority partner. When the opportunity arose to purchase her own store close by, she jumped at it. She had thought to herself many times that Maxwell Pharmacy would be the perfect pharmacy for her to own. So, in 2024 that dream became a reality and she is so thankful to be here.

Chrissy is also a full-time mom, to two loving and kind little boys, Nathanael and Benjamin. She enjoys baking cookies and reading when she’s not wrestling her boys or working at the pharmacy. Two of her all-time favorite books are, the children's book Fortunately by Remy Charlip and the beloved classic, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Lover of poetry, quotes, art, all kinds of music and of course a good shade of red lipstick! She has been known to move some weight around in the gym or be the only girl in the kickboxing class, not bothered by a little sweat or ripped palms.
