Residents enjoyed a lively afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and friendly competition while engaging in a variety of table games hosted by BAYADA Rehab. From classic favorites to lighthearted challenges, the games encouraged socialization, cognitive engagement, and plenty of smiles making it a fun and meaningful afternoon for everyone involved.

What an amazing day of love and joy! We began our morning with a few of our Nexus residents getting pampered for our glam photo shoot, followed that afternoon with delicious bites, dancing, and great music (courtesy of the FCC Jazz Ensemble). We definitely do memory care a little different! Thanks Pam Robinson Stultz for capturing the day!

💖 Love is in the air at Silverado Frederick! 💖

This week, our Office Services Manager and Clinical Staff Manager spread some extra joy by making special Candy Gram deliveries to our amazing associates. Each team member received a rose, chocolate, and a heartfelt message of appreciation. Small gestures that made a big impact.

The smiles, laughter, and gratitude were contagious, and morale was definitely boosted all around! We’re so grateful for the incredible work our associates do every day, and this was just one sweet way to say thank you! 🌹🍫✨

Residents are spreading the love this Valentine’s Day by volunteering their time to create heartfelt, personalized messages for every member of our community. With care and creativity, they crafted special notes shaped like hearts, each one filled with kind words and warm wishes. On Valentine’s Day, these messages will be hand-delivered by the residents themselves, sharing smiles, connection, and reminding everyone that they are valued, remembered, and loved. 💖

At Silverado Frederick our fitness club is all about movement, joy, and living life to the fullest! Residents are encouraged to move at their own pace while enjoying music, laughter, and being surrounded by love. For our seniors living with dementia, our clubs focuses on fun and connection with no pressure, just participation and smiles.

The Engagement Team creates a welcoming, judgment-free space that encourages normalization, celebrates individuality, and reminds everyone that fitness can be joyful at every stage of life. 💪🎶

Our hearts were overflowing with love yesterday as we welcomed back the love and hosted our first annual alumni event. It was such a joy to welcome back prior Silverado families to the community.

We enjoyed hearing their stories about their loved ones and their time here. Once you become a part of the Silverado family, you are always Family, and always welcome.

Happy National Activity Professionals Week! 💙

Engagement is not a “nice extra” in memory care. It is essential. At Silverado, our philosophy is rooted in purpose, dignity, and knowing each resident as a whole person. Meaningful engagement supports cognitive health, reduces anxiety, and brings moments of joy and connection to each day. Our activity professionals do far more than plan a calendar. They create experiences that honor life stories, abilities, and what still brings spark and meaning.

Big congratulations to Dwayne, our Great 8 Word Monthly Contest winner!

Dwayne is one of our laundry aides, so give him a shoutout if you see him in the community delivering your loved ones clothes.

Last month’s word was Trust, and in a memory care community, trust is everything. It is built in the small, steady moments. A familiar face. A calm voice. Following through, every time. Trust allows our residents to feel safe, valued, and understood, even when the world around them feels confusing. Dwayne embodies this beautifully, showing our residents and families that they are in expert, compassionate hands.

Celebrating our December Associate of the month: Bruce Grimm!

Bruce is a hardworking member of our Plant Ops team and is a big part of the reason the community stay clean and maintained! Always there to lend a hand when you need it, whether it is hanging pictures on a wall or making sure the community is cleared from snow, you will always find Bruce helping out.

Bruce says that the residents are the biggest part of why he loves his job. He enjoys interacting with them and getting to learn their stories. Seeing them happy brings him great joy.

Thank you so much Bruce for all your hard work. We couldn't do what we do without you!

1,2,3 GO!

Despite chilly weather outside, we had such a blast having our own indoor "snowball" fight. The competitive spirit was high and everyone wanted in on the action.

Afterwards, we brought some of the real snow in to ensure that all of the residents were able to partake in the fun!
