Anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one is warmly invited to join us for an evening of music, candlelight, and personal reflection as we remember and celebrate those who have died.

The Annual Community Remembrance Service is open to all — the families we have served and anyone in the community who wishes to honor the memory of a loved one.

As part of the service, a photomontage will pay tribute to those we’ve lost. To participate, please email a completed form and a photo of your loved one to

Meet the Packan Family! 💛

At Frederick Health Hospice, we’re honored to support patients and their families with comfort, respect, and unwavering care.

“Hospice brought our family from ‘survival mode’ managing our parents’ care to a place where we were able to make the most of our time left with them, without constant worry." ✨

Stories like theirs show how compassionate hospice care strengthens families and makes a meaningful difference in our community.

National Children's Grief Awareness Day is a day that reminds us how death/loss can impact children and teenagers we care about. It recognizes how grieving children and teenagers can be supported by their homes, schools, and communities. The Frederick Health Hospice team includes licensed and certified experts in children's grief and offers grief support services to all children age 6 and up, as well as their families raising them. Please see https://www.frederickhealthhospice.org/grief-loss/children-grief/ for more information about our services.

Hospice Veteran Liaison Bob Lebron recently had the honor of recognizing John Cooper. Now 100 years old, John served as aircrew on B-17s and later B-29 bombers during World War II. By the time his training as a gunner was complete, the war was winding down. The U.S. Army Air Corps eventually became the U.S. Air Force.

On this Veterans Day, we are deeply grateful to John and all our veterans for their service, dedication, and sacrifice.
