I’m excited to share that Clarity Psychotherapy will be sharing its beautiful office space with another professional in the mental health field. Please join me in welcoming Danielle Norkin, LGPC, Danielle is a licensed therapist offering in-person Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). She holds a Psychedelic Facilitator Certification from the SoundMind Institute and has nearly two years of experience supporting clients through KAP and over 5 years practicing as a psychotherapist. Danielle specializes in treating PTSD, chronic depression, and anxiety using the prescription medicine ketamine in combination with psychotherapy, breathwork, and integration practices.

Danielle will hold office hours on Wednesdays and Fridays, and occasionally on weekends. Charity Psychotherapy will continue with regular office hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Clarity Psychotherapy is accepting new patients in person and virtual. Danielle is accepting in-person ketamine clients.

The holidays can be a tough time for many. While the season is often filled with celebrations, for some it brings up feelings of loneliness, stress, or loss. If you're finding it hard to navigate this time of year, you're not alone. It's okay to acknowledge when things are difficult, and it's okay to prioritize your mental health. If you've been thinking about therapy or reaching out for support, now might be the right time. Take care of yourself and remember that it's okay to ask for help when you need it. You deserve it. If you ever have the opportunity to hear Cheryl Strayed speak- listen!!! Cheryl Strayed's words are pure wisdom. I was in complete awe last night at the Weinberg, as her speech was poignant and pure. As a therapist, I appreciate her ability to connect with people on a deeper level.

I’ve battled this inner dialogue “who am I to give advice”, and she answered it. CS said “who is really qualified to give advice? None of us are, but all of us are” and you need to trust your Clarity.

Another important point she made is we need to have more empathy, by starting with ourselves. We have to cultivate courage. Courage can be learned if it is fostered. I ask you, are being brave and having courage the same???

CS shared stories of her life, the audience was laughing, taking notes and truly hanging on to every word. So much of what she shared was relatable to everyone.

She also said “the one thing we have to do, is the one thing we can’t do”. The example she shared was, the one thing I have to do is “live without my mom” and the one thing I can’t do is “live without my mom”.

Thank you Cheryl Strayed for your everlasting words. 📚 ❤️

What makes the holidays so stressful?? Most of us can relate to the holiday stress at some level, too many commitments, school activities, travel, splitting time with family/friends..

If you experience family drama, conflict with parents this might be a great podcast for you. An old colleague and respected psychotherapist, Own Your Evolution shared this podcast, Healing from Emotionally Immature Parents with Lindsay C. Gibson. EIP, yes this is a thing! The segment provides how to understand parents who lack emotional maturity and why we might feel drained after spending time with a parent who is an EIP. The podcast is a great tool to listen and reflect. Bring questions to your next session and process the feelings of frustration, anger, guilt (just to name a few) that one might carry.
