Happy Easter ✝️🤍

This morning was incredibly special at Andrea’s House. One of our girls chose to be baptized… a powerful moment of faith, renewal, and new beginnings.

To witness her take this step, surrounded by love and support, is exactly why we do what we do. Lives are being changed. Hope is being restored.

This is what healing looks like 🙏🏽💛

Hope Christian Fellowship Church, MD didn’t just host a dinner… they created an experience of pure love, dignity, and care for our women.

A beautiful, formal evening where every detail made them feel seen, valued, and celebrated in a way that’s hard to even put into words.

And then the meal… prepared by Brandon Sumblin, whose talent you might recognize from the Food Network… but what mattered most wasn’t just how incredible the food tasted, it was the heart behind it. Every plate served felt intentional. Thoughtful. Full of love.

Each woman also received a backpack filled with toiletries and prayer journals… simple things that carried so much meaning. It wasn’t just about the items, it was about the message: you matter, you are cared for, and you are not alone.

We had the honor of celebrating Carleah’s 20th soberversary - a milestone that represents strength, faith, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to a new life.

What makes this even more powerful is how her journey has become a path for so many others. Because of Carleah’s story, women and families are finding hope, healing, and a second chance every single day.

Andrea’s House is honored to receive the HEART Grant from Frederick County Government.

This investment speaks directly to the heart of what we do. Every day, women walk through our doors ready for a new beginning, not just for themselves, but for their children. This support helps us create the kind of environment where that transformation is possible.

The HEART Grant allows us to continue building a home rooted in stability, accountability, and faith. A place where women can heal, grow, and step into the life they were created for while keeping their families together.

What a beautiful afternoon celebrating women who are making a difference in our community. 💐

We were honored to attend the WISH - Women Inspiring Supporting & Helping Afternoon Tea and Fashion Show, where incredible women were highlighted for the good work they are doing to uplift, support, and inspire others across Frederick.

Andrea’s House was proud to take part in the celebration - and even more fun, we had the chance to walk in the fashion show! It was such a joyful moment filled with laughter, community, and encouragement.

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible strength, resilience, and courage of women everywhere. 💜

At Andrea’s House, we see that strength every single day. We see it in the mothers who choose recovery, who fight for a better future for themselves and their children, and who show up with determination even when the journey is hard.

🖤 Today is Black Balloon Day. 🖤
A day of remembrance, reflection, and awareness for the lives lost to substance use disorder.

At Andrea’s House, we stand with families, friends, and communities who have felt the weight of this loss. Addiction is a battle, and every name behind a black balloon is a story that deserves to be heard.

If you’ve lost someone, drop a black heart 🖤 in the comments to remember them. You are not alone.

This morning, we gathered for an important and timely conversation about the anticipated impacts of H.R.1 on Frederick County’s housing, food security, and healthcare systems.

We were honored to have Chris Van Hollen and April McClain Delaney join state and local leaders to share insights on how potential policy changes may affect families and essential services right here in our community.

For organizations like Andrea’s House, these conversations matter. Housing stability, access to healthcare, and food security are not abstract issues - they directly impact the mothers and children we serve every single day.
