On Saturday, April 25, Frederick County will take part in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This drive-through event offers Frederick County residents the opportunity to safely get rid of potentially dangerous, expired, unused or unwanted prescription drugs. Community members can also get rid of sharps including syringes, needles, lancets, and auto injectors. All sharps must be separated from the medications.
This drive-through event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following two locations:
Frederick County Health Department โ 350 Montevue Lane in Frederick
Maryland State Police, Frederick Barrack โ 110 Airport Drive East in Frederick
The following medications may be dropped off during the event:
Prescription and over-the-counter medicines in pill form only
Prescription patches
Pet medicines in pill form only
