Our community was full of treats, laughter, and spooky smiles this Halloween! Residents, families, and staff joined in the fun with trick-or-treaters, festive costumes, tea parties, face painting, and even a round (or two!) of pumpkin bowling.

Yesterday we joined the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Maryland Chapter walk to end Alzheimer’s. We have been attending multiple years supporting the community, our residents, our families. Even though the weather was cloudy the community of Frederick SHINED! We walk so we can see an end to Alzheimer’s! It was an honor to have Tori lead the warm-up exercises for the walk! Thank you everyone who attended and sharing your stories. This is a very personal mission for us at spring arbor and we are happy to say we have reached our halfway point to our goal! Stay tuned to see how you can help to end Alzheimer’s in community fundraising!

Here they are! The final photos from NALW. We have had a delay but happy to finally share the great time we had at the SOCK-HOP! We jived back in time by turning our community into a 1950s time capsule. Dining dressed up and turned our dining room into a retro diner. Staff got in their retro attire. We played hot potato, danced, had hula hoop contests and root beer floats were served. We were twisting the day away together creating memories. Staff enjoyed some show cones from Snowies to cool down after all the shaking rattling and rolling. We had such an amazing week with our residents and look forward to what ageless adventures this next year brings. We thank everyone who make these special memories possible. 💃🎸

This Thursday our ageless adventure for the day was traveling to ITALY! We had a gelato and espresso bar as well as a fun armchair travel with snacks to pair with it! We also took this day to host our multi cultural fashion show hosted by the wonderful vonetta! Dining created a wonderful tour of Italy with their menu. A delicious seafood pasta and classics like chicken parm were raved about by the residents all day. Everyone was smiles and this day certainly filled our bellies! Thank you to every staff who participated in the walk and everyone who works so hard to make these moments special. Ciao! 🇮🇹☕️

Wednesday here at spring arbor was our spa day but we added an ageless twist by doing FAIRY HAIR! If you’re familiar it’s the new trend of adding tinsel to your hair. Residents and staff enjoyed with some extra perks at spa day like massage and refreshments. We all needed a little hump of relaxation with all the exciting events this week. Thank you everyone who make such a difference in our residents lives by helping with moments like this!

In celebration of National Assisted Living Week and this year's theme, "Ageless Adventures," we’re sharing a fun, viral moment that perfectly captures the spirit of our community. Our Executive Director put her trust in our residents for a TikTok challenge. This Tuesday we celebrated at Spring arbor by being BAD TO THE BONE. Some local motorcycle people came by and residents and staff were treated to henna tattoos and of course temporary tattoos. We had a great time hosting the motorcycles and one residents family helped for them to take another ride like they did back in the day. We are taking ageless adventure SERIOUSLY! We look forward to the rest of this week and are excited for the events ahead. Thank you to everyone who helps make this possible. 🏍️☠️🔥
