A college friend of mine passed away this afternoon after battling stage four colon cancer for nearly a year. 💔

Even when you know it’s coming it’s still so heartbreaking, so sn**ch up those people you love and squeeze them extra tight tonight! And do ALL the things on your bucket list, because you never know what life has in store for you and there’s no use in waiting… live👏🏼 every 👏🏼single 👏🏼day like it’s the very last one you’re gonna get!

A few updates 🫩

1. Y’all, I reluctantly have to go back to a shorter work schedule so that I can keep the burnout at bay.  Beginning in April we’ll be open Tuesdays 11-7 & Fridays -Sunday 11-7 (with occasional Thursday evenings open as well)

As many of you know, I hired a therapist to join me in January, and due to some unforeseen circumstances that has been put on hold until later this spring/early summer. So, I’ve been doing too much and frustrating everybody, including myself …🙌🏼 a blanket apology goes out to everyone! When I forget to honor my healing and rebooting, the ripple effect is pretty wicked~ but we’re gonna make it thru March I swear!

2. I am committed to my mission of not charging cancellation fees or taking deposits for services because my health is still on the fritz half the time and ethically I just cannot ask for pre-payment when there’s a chance that I won’t make it in ~ however the prices of everything that I am using has gone up 🫣 and so in May I will be increasing my prices a wee bit, but you have a month and a half until that happens… And EVERYTHING that you pre-book gets locked into the current pricing (for that service), so feel free to book all the way through the year if you would like to!

3. I am shifting the oil we use in the Spa from a canola & grapeseed blend to a 100% coconut oil… I will have an additional option available for those with nut allergies and I will be reminding you as you come in of this shift so we can change it up if needed.

4. I am forever grateful for each of you, we’re approaching our 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY and I could just cry that I’m still here…breathing, screaming and occasionally crying, but still here! And it’s all thanks to YOU!!

The Spa is closed today while we participate in the Middletown Wellness Expo! The event runs 10 AM – 2 PM, I look forward to having you come through! There will be a raffle for a small little gift basket, affirmation cards to pick, a small selection of teas from The Goth Bakers and of course chair massage!
