Unfortunately, people ARE using AI for mental health, and it's led me to add this question to the Client History Questionnaire I have all new clients complete prior to intake: Does the client use AI/Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Claude, Genesis, etc.) for companionship, reassurance, or emotional advice?

πŸ’™ The annual Frederick Out of the Darkness Walk brings together survivors of su***de loss and supporters of su***de prevention.

πŸ’™ I used to walk as a mental health provider and advocate for su***de prevention/postvention. I now walk in honor of my brother, Officer Thomas J. Bomba, who died by su***de on October 14, 2019.

πŸ’™ I'm so proud of Team Bomba for earning the title of Top Fundraising Team again this year. Many thanks to my team for helping me raise funds and decrease stigma.

After earning my doctorate πŸŽ“ in clinical psychology 🧠 in 2007, I began my career as an independent contractor in a group practice in Howard County. I developed my areas of specialty 🎯, focusing on providing GRIEF/LOSS therapy and exposure-based treatments for ANXIETY and OCD for clients ages 3-25. In 2015, I relocated my independent specialty practice to Frederick County. I’ve now worked in private practice for 18 years, and I continue to be driven by the opportunity to empower young people - to help them build resilience, increase distress tolerance, and learn how to process difficult emotions in healthy ways. I truly love my job and love being a part of the Frederick community!

Many thanks to Chaney & Moul CPAs LLC, Octavo Designs, and Mary Kate McKenna Photography + The UnCorporate Headshot for helping my business thrive throughout the last decade! πŸ™Œ
