Meet our newest Provider at our Baltimore office! 🩺

Yen Vo, FNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care for individuals and families. She focuses on preventive health, chronic disease management, and helping patients better understand and manage their health through education and supportive care.

She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Bradley University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Maryland School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from University of Maryland.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse at Howard County General Hospital, where she cared for adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions. She most recently served as an Ambulatory Care Triage Nurse with Johns Hopkins Medicine, supporting patients through clinical assessments, care coordination, chronic condition management, and patient education.

Through her clinical training in primary care, urgent care, pediatrics, and women’s health, she developed experience of treating both acute and chronic conditions across multiple age groups. Her graduate project focused on improving diabetes care through targeted A1C outreach in primary care, reinforcing her commitment to improving patient outcomes and quality of care.

She is passionate about building strong relationships with patients and helping them feel confident and informed in managing their health.

🩺 We are excited to welcome back to the practice Elsie Kamara, MSN, AGNP.

She is a dedicated Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care across the adult lifespan. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in February 2021. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University (2018) and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland (2016).

Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she served as a Registered Nurse Clinical Manager with Adventist Home Health Services and began her nursing career at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

At our practice, she manages same-day appointments and walk-in visits, addressing acute care needs—including sick visits and urgent concerns—for both adults and children.

With a strong academic foundation and progressive clinical training, Elsie still brings a comprehensive approach to patient care, focusing on preventive health, chronic disease management, and evidence-based treatment. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients, empowering them through education, and partnering with them to achieve their health goals.

Help Shape Frederick County’s Next‑Generation Senior Centers!
Your input will guide where centers are located, how spaces are designed, and which programs and services best support healthy aging, accessibility, and community connection.

Why participate?
- Influence where future centers are located and what services/programs they offer. Your feedback helps guide county decisions.
- Ensure centers meet the needs of a growing aging population—now and for years ahead.
- Meet the evolving needs of older adults in Frederick County today and in the years to come

How you can make a difference:
- Join a community engagement session in-person or virtually and share your ideas
- Complete a survey online or on paper (Date to be determined)
- Spread the word: Tell your family, friends, and neighbors; share this post; forward the flyer; and post in neighborhood groups, faith communities, HOAs, and community bulletin boards
- Be a ride buddy: Offer transportation to someone who needs it, or help them plan a route using Transit, Transit-Plus, or rideshare) to one of nine sessions
- Survey support: Help a neighbor get online, access a virtual session or online survey. Sit with someone and help them fill out a paper survey—read questions aloud to them
