Some exciting news- we have finally hired a massage therapist, Jaclyn!

“Born and raised in the Fredericksburg area, I’ve always had an interest in helping people manage their pain and improve the quality of their lives. I have a strong passion for learning new things, especially new techniques and modalities. After graduating with over 750 practice hours from Eastern Virginia Career College in 2023, I got right to work and have been a practicing massage therapist for 1 year. My favorite types of massage to give are deep tissue and sports massage. I’m also well versed in anatomy and physiology and enjoy working with different tools when aplicable.
When not working, I enjoy spending time at home drawing, gardening, and playing with my two dogs. I look forward to working with you!”

The holiday season is quickly approaching! 🌲In order to make sure you stay feeling your best (and avoid turning into Scrooge 😉) we have extended our hours to include afternoons throughout the week starting next week, Dec 11th.

Please be aware, we will be closed the week of Christmas-New Years to spend time with our families.

We will be back in the office bright and early with extended hours in the early new year!

Help us congratulate Dr. Medlej on his new role as head coach of UMW Men’s Rugby! (Don’t worry, he will still be in the office 😉)

‘The University of Mary Washington athletic department is pleased to announce the hiring of 2016 alumnus and former UMW rugby standout Charbel Medlej as the new head men's rugby coach.

"We are very excited to bring Charbel on in this capacity", said Associate Director of Athletics Caitlin Moore. "His ability as a coach and mentor, as well as his familiarity with the league and team, will be a tremendous asset."

Medlej was a four-year standout for UMW, earning the position of club president and captain from 2014-2016. After graduating from UMW, Medlej went on to pursue a Doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer College, also while playing rugby, serving as club treasurer and eventually club president.

Medlej served as volunteer Assistant Coach position at the University of Alabama for their Men's Rugby Club during the Fall 2019 season, and was appointed as head coach for the Palmer College women's rugby program for the Fall 2021 season, which culminated in finishing in third place at the Women's D2 National Championships.

After moving to Fredericksburg, he volunteered as an assistant coach for UMW Men's Rugby this Spring.

Medlej holds a doctorate of chiropractic from Palmer College, gaining valedictorian honors, and holds a bachelor of science in Human Biology and Neuroscience from UMW in 2016.’

Dr. Medlej is out of the office today, as he is attending the American Headache Society Annual Scientific Meeting this weekend in Austin, Texas.

Not only will he be sitting in on continuing education lectures all weekend to learn how to better care for his patients, he created his own case study to present!
