The sun is shining bright today! The ice and snow is melting! It’s a great day to be alive and almost on the other side of this bu****it! I’m so ready for our 105 degree summer days while I sit my ass in the river, watching my babies living their best lives. Soon enough 🙏🏼

Three. Years.
1,095 days.
Long days & longer nights.
Our first goal was 2 months. Then 6 months. Then a year. Then I decided I’d let her make that decision when she’s actually ready. 🤎

Did you know breast milk is just as beneficial for her NOW as it was on day one? Just because children grow older, does not mean breastfeeding stops being beneficial for mom and child, both to their health, mental and emotional well being.

What is natural term weaning?
Natural weaning occurs as the child begins to eat table foods while still breastfeeding on demand. When natural weaning is practiced, complete weaning usually takes place between two and four years of age! Yes, TWO to FOUR!

Not to mention the comfort it’s been able to provide for the past 3 years. The tears it has soothed. The scrapes, scratches, & rashes it’s healed. When Delilah is ready, she’ll be ready! But we’re just not quite there yet and I’m okay with that. 🥰

After four years of birth work, I've seen and experienced a lot of things in labor. I've been the recipient of some very strong language and every imaginable bodily fluid. Not once has it bothered or offended me. My job is to support you, unconditionally, and your job is to give birth. Whatever you need to do to make that happen is my jam. So go ahead, do your thing. You can't scare me away.
