📚 See the Sound: STS–Visual Phonics Online Training
Radford University’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Program is offering a no-cost, live online training focused on STS–Visual Phonics, a multisensory system designed to strengthen sound–letter connections and support reading, writing, and speech development for students who are deaf or hard of hearing and others considered at risk in literacy.
👩🏫 What you’ll learn:
✔ How STS–Visual Phonics supports decoding, spelling, and articulation
✔ How to recognize, produce, and blend Visual Phonics handshapes and symbols
✔ Practical ways to integrate STS–Visual Phonics into instructional and therapeutic settings
🗓 When: Mondays — Feb. 9, 16, & 23
⏰ Time: 5:30–8:30 PM (EST)
💻 Format: Live, interactive Zoom sessions (not recorded)
👥 Limited to 25 participants
💲 Cost: FREE (funded by the VA DOE)
